Costco Executive Coupons – Jan 2-15, 2017

Hi Everyone!

It has been a little busy getting back into the groove after the holidays.  I hope everyone is doing well!  I meant to post this earlier, but I just haven’t had the time.  Here are the executive coupons that get mailed out.  One of the bonuses of the executive Costco membership is that you get mailed extra coupons!  Granted that if you follow this blog, you will be able to stock up on most of these items anyways, but even I realized that I am running low on Dawn Dish Detergent and I was able to pick some up at the sale price!  I find that I always spend enough at Costco to justify an executive membership – although I may go to Costco more than most of you!  PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU WILL NEED THE ORIGINAL MAILED COUPONS TO REDEEM THESE SALE ITEMS.  THESE SALE ITEMS ARE ONLY VALID FOR EXECUTIVE MEMBERS

The executive membership is twice the price of the basic membership ($55 vs. $110).  I have read some articles that the price of membership will be going up this year so you may want to get it early to save a couple of dollars.

Happy Shopping!

*** One thing to keep in mind when reading this blog is that sales items in the meat and produce section are store dependent – the manager sets the sales for these items. For that reason, the chicken sales that you see this week (and last) may not be available at your store. Also, any items on the blog that end in ‘.97’ means the item is on a clearance. These ‘.97’ items are also store dependent. If you are interested in one of these products you can check with customer service to see if any of the items is available at a nearby store! If you purchased the product previously and it has gone on sale, if you bring in the original receipt and you have purchased the product withing 30 days (or longer, depending on the employee), Costco will refund you the difference!

Use these posts to make the best use of your Costco Card! I have done all the hard work for you and have a weekly listings of all the Costco Sales Items and flyers. Costco does not publish these Costco sales items; the only way to find out what is on sale is to walk the whole store! Come back every Monday to find out what is on sale for the week. The sales may vary slightly by store, but are generally pretty consistent between Western Canada. If there is something you really want, please make sure to double check the expiry date as some of the Costco sales items have been known to end mid-week.

  1. It appears Costco Winnipeg south has a new return policy. Proof of purchase is now required to return an item. So no gifts can be returned without a proof of purchase from the gift giver. Before this policy, you would get the lowest price on the return on a Costco gift card. Too bad. Terry

  2. I have a business membership and when i moved I went in to the store and changed my address, however still did not receive the coupons. I went back in weeks later after being very frustrated and was told there are 2 address fields, business and personal. Once they changed both I started getting the coupons again. Depends on the clerk you get whether they think to ask if you want both addresses changed.

  3. We have never received these coupons nor any mail from Costco. We have checked with the membership desk and they have our correct address and we are opted-in to receive mail. Sorely disappointed that Costco can’t seem to get this organized for us. We will review our commitment to having an executive membership, especially if the cost is increasing.

    • It really doesn’t matter if you don’t get the coupon book. If the item is on sale then the sale price will be rung up for you as you are an executive member.

        • I just tried to buy the Dawn Dish detergent today. I didn’t bring the coupon book with me – and the cashier was not able to give me the discount without scanning in the coupon. One of the other employees went to a couple different cashiers to find a coupon that had been redeemed to scan in the discount for me. It was a little embarrassing as it held up the line. The discount didn’t show up until the coupon code was scanned in.

    • After contacting Costco, they replied that the coupons are vendor coupons and are only sent to executive club members who have used vendor coupons in the past – rather a catch 22.
