Costco West Sales Items for Jan 2-8 for BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan

Happy New Year Everyone!  It seems like ever since we sent the baby to daycare 2 months ago, someone in the house has been sick. 🙁  Anyways, here are the deals this week.  Lots of great items to pick up.  Since I have clean the house before the baby gets up, I won’t be writing too much.  This is the week that all the vitamins and protein shakes go on sale, so it is a good time to stock up.

Live in Eastern Canada?  Check out deals for Eastern Canada (Boxing Day Sales) for January 2-8 here.

The easiest way to get all the updates for the Costco East Fan Blog is to “like” the Facebook page here. When the blog post is updated, you will be automatically notified in the Facebook news feed.

Happy Shopping!

*** One thing to keep in mind when reading this blog is that sales items in the meat and produce section are store dependent – the manager sets the sales for these items. For that reason, the chicken sales that you see this week (and last) may not be available at your store. Also, any items on the blog that end in ‘.97’ means the item is on a clearance. These ‘.97’ items are also store dependent. If you are interested in one of these products you can check with customer service to see if any of the items is available at a nearby store! If you purchased the product previously and it has gone on sale, if you bring in the original receipt and you have purchased the product withing 30 days (or longer, depending on the employee), Costco will refund you the difference!

Use these posts to make the best use of your Costco Card! I have done all the hard work for you and have a weekly listings of all the Costco Sales Items and flyers. Costco does not publish these Costco sales items; the only way to find out what is on sale is to walk the whole store! Come back every Monday to find out what is on sale for the week. The sales may vary slightly by store, but are generally pretty consistent between Western Canada. If there is something you really want, please make sure to double check the expiry date as some of the Costco sales items have been known to end mid-week.

  1. It looks like the Angus Burgers are being discontinued. The price is *.97. A sure sign when Costco gets rid of something.

  2. Thank you for saving us time and money! Happy new year to your family. I clicked on the ads a dozen times, hope that help with all that work you do.

  3. Thanks so much for your posts. Much appreciated!
Does anyone know if the Activia yogurt is still on sale? The sale expiry on the photo says 2017-01-01 (January 1/17) . Hoping they extended it?

  4. You are such a rockstar! Makes my shopping so much easier- even though I love Costco so much and want to see everything too! Thanks so much 🙂

  5. Yes!!! They are so nice and chewy, not chalky-tasting. Tastes like cookie dough for real!! Similar to Quest bars, if you’ve tried those.

  6. You are to be commended for saving so many people so much money….without your post I would miss a lot of the sales….thank you sooo much!

  7. Funny, those chrome shelves were 99.99 regular price in Calgary for the last few months… Don’t know about Vancouver, but it sure seems like they bumped the price up, just for the sale…

    • They are $99.99 in Edmonton today before $25 off. Friend just purchased a set today and Alberta price is $99.99 regular on her receipt.

  8. Thanks so much Tynan!

What do people prefer between the Kaizen and Leanfit protein powders! I haven’t tried either before and now they are both on sale!

Also, love the Kirkland protein bars. They are sweet and taste like Quest bars but so much cheaper.

  9. Thank you for your continued work so that we can all plan, prepare & save money. In reference to your advise about returning to the warehouse to request a refund on previously purchased items that are now discounted, I have recently discovered that the item on sale MUST be available in the warehouse where you are requesting the refund back. I was quite happy when I was informed that a fireplace purchased in Poco was reduced by $ 130 at the Willingdon store. But, Poco would not process the refund for the difference (they no longer had any!) and when I called Willingdon they only had 1 fireplace unit left. 20 minutes later when I arrived at the Willingdon warehouse, it had been sold and they would not honour the reduced price.

  10. Thanks so much for your post…appreciated as always!
Happy New Year to you and your family.
I’m curious about the protein bars…do they taste OK? I find some of them taste chalky.

  11. I am wondering when the Kirkland disinfecting wipes will be available again. I have tried the Lysol brand and do not like them so will not be buying them again.

  12. Just a note for those in Saskatoon – I found the Splenda packets 1200 for $19.99 at the South Saskatoon Costco – as of last thing on Saturday Dec 31st before closing. That’s an extra 200 for the same price! Thanks for posting these specials every week – you are so appreciated!

    • Yes, was so thrilled they finall have them in Canada! They taste like Quest bars and we’ve gone through several boxes in the past couple of months. 🙂

    • Yes, and they are so good. Just like quest (like Yvonne said) but 1/3 of the price. Cookie dough is awesome, brownie is good. I put them on a plate and microwave for 20 seconds, tastes sooo good.

    • Yes, they do taste like Quest bars but a lot more firm. Prepare to have a glass of water ready! This is coming from someone who regularly counts his macros and has sampled many protein bars on the market. Hope that helps! Happy chewing!
