Hi Everybody!

Sorry for the bad news, but it looks like Costco’s Rogers Brand All Purpose flour has been recalled from the marketplace due to possible E. coli 0121 contamination.  This product was only sold in Costco Warehouse locations in British Columbia.  Unfortunately, this is the flour that I have in my pantry.  I will be returning this product to Costco for a refund.

The affected lot code on the product is: MFD 17 JAN 19 C

  1. We bough this, but we put it in big Ziploc bags and threw out the original. Can I tell if I find the receipt, or will Costco call me and let me know?

    • As above, Costco has no idea of what lot codes you purchased, only if you purchased the product in question during the dates that Costco thinks that affected product may have been available for sale in the warehouse. If you’re not sure, it’s best to throw out the product. Costco should be able to tell you when you bought it, but won’t know what the lot code on the bag was as they all have the same barcode.

  2. Are you sure it’s only MFD 17 Jan 19C? Mine is MFD 17 APR 08 C and I still got an automatic call from Costco notifying me about the recall. I’ve only purchased this product once.

    • Costco will know what you bought and when you bought it, but not really what lot codes you bought due to old/new stock.. if you click the link just above the pictures, you’ll see that only the lot code mentioned is being recalled.
