West Costco Sales Items for June 13-19 for BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan

There were lots of items on sale this week including many items that were going on clearance. The Fitbit Charge HR was on sale along with the Garmin Approach S2 GPS Golf Watch (for those of you who like to play). The Microsoft Surface Bundle is $100 off as well.
Freybe Gourmet Foods Sliced Cervelat Salami and Freybe Gourmet Foods Sliced Back Bacon are good deals this week. Connie’s Kitchen Mango Jalapeno Chicken Sausage look interesting for a summer barbeque. Has anyone tried this product before who can comment below?
I found the mini boccocini a little too small for my liking last time I purchased it. Grab some Mott’s Clamato and some Minute Maid Orange Juice for the bar – they never go bad! Bounty Duratowel and Alcan Aluminum foil is good to have for the grill.
All Swiffer Products are on sale for your summer cleaning. Dempster’s Ancient Grains with Quinoa Bread was on sale. I’m not sure if this will be in all provinces, but this is great for sandwiches! Pick up some Pace Thick & Chunky Salsa for an easy appetizer. Mr. Freeze Jumbo Freeze Pop’s are on sale this week too – this will be on sale for 2 weeks and then regular price for the rest of the summer (if it is anything like last year).
Trident Breaded Fish Sticks are on sale for an easy weekday meal. Philadelphia Cream Cheese is a good price if you have a hankering for cheesecake. My wife will not allow me to buy Munches (or Pretzel Crisps) anymore but they are on sale again. I pick up some vegetable broth for lazy soups. That is all I have for now!

Costco does not publish these Costco sales items; the only way to find out what is on sale is to walk the whole store! Come back every Monday to find out what is on sale for the week. The sales may vary slightly by store, but are generally pretty consistent between Western Canada. If there is something you really want, please make sure to double check the expiry date as some of the Costco sales items have been known to end mid-week.

I’m new to this and was referred by my niece. I will spread the word. Just wanted to say thank you for all of your hard work in getting this information to us. I like to go to Costco with a list so that I don’t overspend and then I also have time to decide if the “deal” I’m looking at is something I need and/or will use.
I believe the .97 ending in the price ($149.97) is Costco code for a local store clearance, manager’s markdown kind of thing to reduce inventory. As such it will be very hit and miss as to whether you find it in another store.
Does anyone know if TV’s on Costco.ca are the same price in store? Obviously if there’s a “yellow highlight” reduction than the item WILL be cheaper in store. But I’m wondering in general, on non-sale items, should I expect them to be equal? Thus if I’ve got the time/patience, ordering online is actually the better deal since delivery is included in the price.
Does anyone know when costco will start carrying those packable down jackets again? I saw some packable down vests over the weekend, but I haven’t seen the jackets yet. Unless I already missed out on the jackets?

The only items guaranteed to be on sale are the ones with coupons, everything else varies by store. There have been items posted here that were either not on sale or else never carried at my store.
I think there are some differences in sizes of the stores and local store management has some flexibility in what they carry or don’t carry because of space limitations. In Winnipeg for example I’ve noticed a number of differences in comparing the frozen food sections between McGillivray and St. James. I’ve noticed a number of items in McGillivray that were not in St. James and I suspect that’s maybe because McGillivray has more freezer space. There’s also some variation between what different provinces seem to stock and that might be because of local preferences.
Overall the differences aren’t that large from store to store and most people probably wouldn’t notice unless they really spend a lot of time shopping at the stores in different parts of a city.
The Dyson vacuum is on sale? I bought it last year. Does anyone know if I can stil return it or will they give me a price difference? Thank you so much for your posts. I never go to Costco until I see this. 🙂
I have a question about the Scott’s Weed Prevent costing $39.97. How do I know that it is on sale, as there is no original price with a discount on the label. I trust you that it is on sale, I just don’t understand the label when there is no obvious discount shown. Can anyone educate me on this please?

It’s not necessarily on sale but any price ending in .97 means it will not be available for much longer so stock up while it’s still there. I can’t remember what all of the codes and prices mean, I remember seeing a post awhile back. Perhaps someone can repost it?
You will notice that most items end with a 99¢ ending. That’s the regularly priced merchandise. Other items may be priced or end with other numbers like .49¢ .79¢, .89¢ or 97¢. Now most of these are not significant, with one exception .97¢. Items ending with a .97¢ ending are items that have been marked-down. As you go through the store, look for the .97¢ endings, you will find quite a few throughout the store, even on food items.
Items ending in .97 are marked down and Costco is clearing them out. If you really want that item now is the time to buy it before they are all gone for good.
An asterik in the upper right corner on the sale card means the item is not being restocked.
It also means that not every store will have these items. It just depends if they have stock left. At our Costco they often stick these items right near the tills to get them cleared our fast.
Just had the mango jalapeño chicken sausages tonight – bought them on sale last week. Delicious! Although a bit spicy for my kids. But they are very tasty and much better for you fat/calorie wise than regular smokies/wieners.

The chicken sausage is indeed tasty!
The Vancouver location had both the Trident fish sticks as well as the Highliner fish sticks on sale. I was hoping someone could weigh in on which brand is better.
We tried a Trident sample and found it to be decent. We bought the Highliner since that was on sale and Trident wasn’t. Highliner was lime and chili flavoured though. Baked some in the oven, it’s more of a batter than breading (Trident). Lime comes across as artificial. Chili was too hot for one child, but fine for the other. I’d go with Trident if feeding the average child or adverse to artificial lime. I did bake the Highliner in the oven and didn’t find it crisp up as much as I’d have liked, will try frying pan next time but won’t buy again once this box is used up.

I know there are differences in selection between in store and online. Some TVs may only be available online, and vice versa.
Shipping is included in the website price, so it will always be more.

Well, it is Junuary in BC, but don’t expect Xmas and winter items until August or September.
The jalapeño and mango sausages were too sweet for us.

Agreed. Those sausages are sweet. Then again, I like me meat savory. I don’t even like pulled pork because it’s sweet.
