Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Kirkland Signature Maple Pecan Cookies, Catalina Crunch Keto Friendly Cereal and the Jonny Pops Popsicles.

I’m reviewing the Arla Havarti from Costco today! I love Havarti but my husband isn’t the biggest cheese fan and my toddler daughter seems to only like mozarella and cheddar so I was a bit hesitant to pick up a giant pack of Havarti but I went for it!
There are three 250 gram packs of cheese and each pack contains 12 slices. I paid $12.99 for the cheese on sale which is four dollars off the regular price of $16.99 Canadian.
The three flavors of Havarti are chipotle & habanero, herbs & spice and jalapeno. I found it pretty hard to open the packages using the peel & reseal part. The packaging tore easily so I’ll have to store these in a ziplock bag or air tight container. The cheese also falls apart easily when you take it out of the package. It’s hard to get a nice intact slice, you have to be very gentle with the Havarti! The best before date is about four months from when I bought it.
The nutrition facts are the same for all three flavors of Havarti. One slice contains 80 calories, seven grams of fat, one gram of carbohydrates, zero grams of fibres, zero grams of sugar, five grams of protein and 170 milligrams of sodium.
The herbs & spice flavor is delicious, it’s very creamy and tastes exactly like herb & garlic cream cheese in the form of a cheese slice. Jalapeno isn’t as spicy as I thought it would be, it’s got just a very mild amount of heat but a very noticeable distinct jalapeno flavor. The heat from the cheese hits a little while after you take a bite. Chipotle & habanero has more heat than the jalapeno flavor and has a definite smoky flavor. It’s probably my least favorite and the strongest flavored. Overall this Havarti is delicious, I don’t know if I’d buy the three pack again because I’m not sure about the chipotle flavor but I really like the other two.
Cost: 8/10 (on sale) 6/10 (not on sale).
Convenience: 9/10 (I found the packaging hard to open and the cheese falls apart).
Nutrition: 6/10
Taste: 8/10
