I went to Costco yesterday to pick up a few items and wow it was busy! One of the items I picked up is these Bouchard Strawberry Dark Chocolates that are available across Eastern Canada. I paid $16.99 Canadian for the 600 gram bag of chocolates.
Each chocolate is individually wrapped so that means they’ll be going into my candy dish at work! The best before date is roughly 11 months from when I purchased them.
In four chocolates there are 190 calories, 11 grams of fat, 21 grams of carbohydrates, three grams of fibre, 17 grams of sugar, two grams of protein and 15 milligrams of sodium. The ingredients list is pretty short and sweet with real strawberry juice concentrate, apple juice, strawberry ouree and apple puree.
These are really nice tasting if you like fruity chocolate. The dark chocolate is nice, not bitter and quite sweet for dark chocolate. The strawberry filling isn’t really artificial tasting and has quite a strong strawberry flavor. The filling is also really sweet, sweeter than I expected. These are definitely a sweet chocolate despite them having dark chocolate! The layer of dark chocolate isn’t very thick, they kind of remind me of a chocolate covered strawberry. I’m not sure I love fruity chocolates but these are really tasty.
