My family loves cheese buns so when I saw these Ace Cheese Croissants I picked up a container to try for packed lunches! The 560 gram container cost me $9.99 Canadian at Costco.
The croissants have a best before date that’s about 10 days from when I purchased them. The container recommends heating these before serving them but they’re also fine on their own. You can also use these croissants to make little sandwiches for your kids lunches! They’re delicious with spinach dip as well.
In two croissants there are 200 calories, 10 grams of fat, 22 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, three grams of sugar, six grams of protein and 300 milligrams of sodium. One croissant is 100 calories and five grams of fat which isn’t bad! The ingredients list is also pretty short and simple.
These are pretty good, not as tasty as bakery croissants though. They’re a bit sweet for my liking and don’t have a ton of cheese flavor. The cheese seems to be only on the outside. The package recommends heating them and I have to say they taste a lot better heated! The texture is soft and a bit chewy, there isn’t a ton of flakiness but there’s some, especially when heated.
