Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Cheesecake and the Costco Kirkland Signature Homestyle Apple Pie.

I’ve seen this Yupik mix for a while at my Costco and I’ve always been curious about what it actually is so I picked up a bag to find out. The 681 bag costs $7.97 Canadian which is pretty cheap in my opinion!
The best before date is roughly six months from when I bought the mix and the bag reseals which will help keep the mix fresh. This is definitely a sweet mix so it’s better for a dessert. I noticed the mix doesn’t have a lot of the sugar cookies in it, there’s a lot of the strawberry chocolate ice cream cones and swirls.
A half cup serving has 260 calories, 14 grams of fat, 33 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, 26 grams of sugar, two grams of protein and 45 milligrams of sodium. The ingredients list unfortunately has artificial colors and flavors and may contain peanuts, other tree nuts, sesame, sulphites.
This mix looks really fun and tasty but it’s not great. I think the quality is reflected in the price. There’s small cookie pieces, rainbow sprinkle chocolates, coated sugar cookies, swirls and strawberry chocolate ice cream cones as well as chocolate covered almonds. There’s a lot of artificial flavors and the chocolate doesn’t taste very high quality, I tried every piece and was disappointed in all of them. I have a sweet tooth and usually enjoy things like this (in small quantities) but this isn’t worth picking up in my opinion. It just tastes overall cheap and looks better than it tastes. I like how colorful and fun it is but I think I’d rather use it as a decoration that actually consume it.
