Herdez Mild Traditional Salsa Review

Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Kirkland Signature Limoncello Mascarpone Cake and the Costco Rana Shrimp Ravioli and Lobster Sauce.

If you like my reviews for Costco food products, the best thing is that you can follow me on Instagram or Facebook and tell your friends about my blog Costcuisine, where I review new Costco food products each week! You can also check out my YouTube channel, where I do video reviews!

Right now my favorite snack is the Kirkland Signature Corn Chip Dippers with salsa so when I saw this Herdez Salsa I picked up a two pack to try. I paid $9.99 Canadian for the two-pack.

The salsa needs to be kept in the refrigerator and the best before date is about three weeks from when I bought it. You can pair it with tortilla chips use it on enchiladas, tacos or burritos.

1/4 cup of salsa has 15 calories, zero grams of fat, three grams of carbohydrates, zero grams of fibre, two grams of sugar, one gram of protein and 470 milligrams of sodium. There are simple, whole ingredients in this salsa which is how it should be!

Even though this salsa is mild it’s pretty spicy! Too spicy for my liking and I also find it really watery and thin, I like a bit of a thicker salsa, one that doesn’t just drip off your chip. It’s also really tomatoey and needs more onions and jalapeno chunks. I wouldn’t buy this salsa age, I prefer Pace or the Kirkland Signature Organic Salsa.

Cost: 8/10
