La Felinese Salami di Primavera Pack Review

The La Felinese Salami di Primavera Pack

Perfect for making pizza at home!

Please note that this review was not paid for or sponsored by any third party. I purchased this product with my own money and the opinions in this review are strictly my own. I am not affiliated with Costco or any of its suppliers. I am just a fan of the company. I write these reviews to help my fellow shoppers.

Costco always has a ton of new food products I review to see more of my  reviews follow me on Instagram or Facebook and also check out my blog Costcuisine where I review tons of Costco food products each week! Last week I posted a review for the Costco CHOCXO Keto Snaps, Costco Hawaiian Sun Chocolate Covered Macadamia Nuts and Costco Kirkland Signature Italian Sausage Pasta Kit

I love using the Costco Molinaro’s Pizza Kits to make semi homemade pizzas. Recently when I was at Costco I picked up the La Felinese Salami di Primavera pack of salami meats to use on my Molinaro’s pizza crusts at home!

The La Felinese Salami di Primavera Pack

Cost

If you’re using this for pizza or pizza subs or something similar it’s actually a TON of meat for a very reasonable cost. I paid $14.99 (not on sale) for the 600 gram pack of salami.

The La Felinese Salami di Primavera Pack Ingredients

Convenience

There’s many different ways you can use the Costco La Felinese Salami pack. I personally like to use it for pizza but you could make an awesome charcuterie board or use it to make some pretty tasty sandwiches! There’s three different types of salami and each type comes in a separate package but all the packages are attached to each other so you have to cut open the type of salami you’d like to use and it’s not resalable which is slightly frustrating. The best before date is about four months from the date of purchase (I’m assuming that is if it’s unopened).

The La Felinese Salami di Primavera Pack Nutrition

Nutrition

Eight slices is 100 calories, seven grams of fat, and nine grams of protein and 470 mg of sodium. Zero grams of carbohydrates, sugars or fibre. Not that many calories for eight slices and nine grams of protein! Definitely a little high in fat and sodium. This might be an item that folks on the Keto diet might want to pick up.

My pizza using the the La Felinese Salami di Primavera Pack

Taste

There’s three different kinds of salami in the pack. Parma salami, spicy genoa salami and salami with prosciutto. They’re all the same circular shape that’s perfect for topping a pizza. The parma salami is salty and super flavorful with specks of fat throughout. Perfect for pairing with mild cheeses and also versatile enough to combine with various pizza toppings. The prosciutto with salami combines pork salami with prosciutto crudo and has a mild flavor and is perfect for pairing with fruits, nuts and cheeses on a charcuterie board. The spicy genoa salami is my favorite for pizza, it definitely packs a little bit of heat and spice and is super scrumptious with broccocini cheese. I will mention that one thing I didn’t love is how the salami is a little bit greasy and when you heat the meat in the oven. When making pizza you can really see the grease coming out. Although it’s extremely flavorful the meat is also super salty so I always find myself thirsty afterwards.

For pizza this meat pack is perfect but I find he Cappola Charcuterie pack at Costco is much more versatile and makes an awesome charcuterie board.
