West Costco Sales Items for August 15-21 for BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan

Thank you again to my brother for graciously taking pictures this week while I am away on parental leave!!

As always there were lots of items again this week – many of them not on the flyer!!!!  There are LOTS of clearance items – these are denoted by the ‘.97’ ending on the price and vary by location.  To check if a store still has stock you can ask an employee to check on their computer to see what stores may still have stock.

One thing to keep in mind when reading this blog is that sales items in the meat and produce section are store dependent – the manager sets the sales for these items.  For that reason, the chicken sales that you see this week (and last) may not be available at your store.  Also, any items on the blog that end in ‘.97’ means the item is on a clearance.  These ‘.97’ items are also store dependent.  If you are interested in one of these products you can check with customer service to see if any of the items is available at a nearby store!  If you purchased the product previously and it has gone on sale, if you bring in the original receipt and you have purchased the product withing 30 days (or longer, depending on the employee), Costco will refund you the difference!

Happy Shopping!

Check out my post about Five ways to Save Money at Costco!!!

Use these posts to make the best use of your Costco Card! I have done all the hard work for you and have a weekly listings of all the Costco Sales Items and flyers. Costco does not publish these Costco sales items; the only way to find out what is on sale is to walk the whole store! Come back every Monday to find out what is on sale for the week. The sales may vary slightly by store, but are generally pretty consistent between Western Canada. If there is something you really want, please make sure to double check the expiry date as some of the Costco sales items have been known to end mid-week.

  1. We bought the chicken apple sausages but they were not on sale. Paid full price. $12.49, #1039108.
They were purchased Costco on St. James st. Winnipeg Was that just at that store?

    • They should have been on sale there too but strange things sometimes happen at Costco stores and things which should have been on sale aren’t..

  2. The turkey pepperoni was on sale at our Costco in Kelowna BC. I started really reading the ingredients in a lot of things I picked up to potentially buy this week – the chicken bites had highly monosaturated fat and a lot of chemicals I figured were unnecessary so didn’t get. Also, the Del Monte fruit cups were made in China – I find that strange, why would I want to consume fruit from a place with so high pollution rates? The frozen mango from Mexico, the pineapple from Guatemala, the produce even in Canada is hot house – why not ever fresh when in season? I wish they would buy stuff produced locally and in Canada to support our own economy

    • Yes used to buy it regularly. Now we don’t eat a lot of pasta so I haven’t bought in a while. It is very different though, if you’re not used to whole wheat pasta.

  3. Once again thank you for posting this.

Just an FYI. For those thinking of getting the pasticcio, please not they are very tiny. It’s like they are from dwarf pistachio plants.

  4. Just wanted to drop a line and say THANK YOU!! Even though I don’t shop at Costco every week, I do look forward to your weekly email. Makes me a “smarter” shopper. 🙂

  5. Thank you so much for doing this list. I only have 1/2 hr. lunch so this will help me with the sale items that I might not otherwise see 🙂

  6. For all those that don’t know, you do NOT require a membership to buy medication and vitamins at Costco! Just ask at the pharmacy what aisles are considered “pharmacy” and do not require a membership and they’ll tell you! All you do is pay at the pharmacy!

As always, thanks for the excellent posts!

    • Great tip! As a Costco member I had no idea this was the case. However, we don’t get our prescriptions filled at Costco anyway because the pharmacy lines are too long. Real Canadian Superstore often has better prices and the same or similar dispensing fees.

  7. Some guy used your pic of the Fitbit Charge for $118.99 and excitedly posted as Fitbit Charge “HR”.
To me, he is just a newbie who doesn’t read the sign. No where on the sign that says it’s HR version, but because the sign covered the non-HR box and fully displaced the HR version, you can understand why it misleaded the newbie.
Also, note that there is an asterisk on the upper right corner of the sign meaning non-stock item.

  8. I tried those chicken breast bites a while back and was disappointed. They are not made from solid meat and seems highly processed. Would not buy again.

    • I agree! The chicken bites are terrible and look nothing like the picture shows. Very low quality meat.

Also, the oven cooking directions are way off. You almost need to double it unless you enjoy mushy coating over half-cooked chicken.

I would never buy them again and wouldn’t take a box if they were handing them out for free.
