Good Morning Everyone! I’m currently away on Vacation – but don’t worry! I have pictures currently being uploaded from my backup plan 🙂 The pictures are a little late this week as I’m currently being a tourist and a dad of a 6 month old. I hope to have the pictures up later tonight. Here are the coupons to tide you all over
EDIT: Here are all the pictures. Thanks to by great brother who subbed in for me (I think he did a great job!) I’m currently in New York on vacation and trying to score tickets to Hamilton (anyone have any connections?) I usually write something about the sales but considering I’m on a holiday, I will let the pictures speak for themselves!
Costco Canada is becoming sleazy these days. I have never seen this before where they have one day sales eg. Motorola Two Way Radios. The sale was over before the pics and deal were published on costcowest.
Another example is the CP brand Wonton Noodle Soup. Costco Canada used to carry it and then they substituted it for the less expensive, higher mark-up Wonton Soup without noodles from the same manufacturer despite many complaints. However Costco USA carries it which is baffling.
As a suggestion, and please know, like everyone here, I really appreciate what you and your “accomplices” do to post the pics, but if the offers are only a one day sale and if the pics can’t be uploaded online by early afternoon then it’s best just not to include them as it only frustrates people.
How is it sleazy of Costco to have one day sales? Is this unethical?
If seeing these one day sales after they are done is frustrating to you, you should go to the store for yourself to find them. Its ridiculous that you would criticize someone for providing a free service.
The sign for the Motorola radios, shown in the photo above, lists the expiry date for the offer. If you didn’t notice that detail, that’s not the fault of the blog writer. They are providing a free service; if you find the “burden” of using your own brain too taxing, then don’t read the blog.
I’m at Brighton in Burnaby, and I saw the Contigo Metal thermal ones. Did not see the metal water bottles, but I wasn’t looking for them. They do have the glass 2 pack by the entrance as well.
This is the only site I have AdBlock turned off for so I can click the ad’s. I suggest everyone else do the same as they’re not intrusive and a few clicks goes a long way!
I noticed a couple things at my local Costco in Richmond, BC:
– SunRype Fruit plus Veggies juice boxes (40 boxes) regular price $13.49 Sale price $10.49
– Tazo Chai Latte mix (3 boxes, 946 ml each) regular price $10.49 Sale price $8.49
I like the oral b for a couple of reasons. First the replacement heads are cheaper. I have been through two handles in the last 5 years and have had no dental issues even with my wisdom teeth still in place. I also take them apart to replace the battery after about a year. The oral b will take a regular AA rechargeable with minor modifications. My previous Sonicare took some odd shape.
Both makes intend for you to throw them out and not replace the battery. Of course it is never as pretty as it was after replacement as I reseal it with some caulking and glue if necessary to hold it back together.
Thanks, I never knew that the batteries could be replaced.
To Marianna: I have always used Finish and don’t have the problems you describe. When the dispenser opens the Finish tab falls out and down to the bottom of the dishwasher where it is fully submerged by water and thus will quickly dissolve. Over the years I have had a couple of occasions where the tab didn’t fall out and then yeah I has some residue left in the holder. I always place the tab in such a position in the holder so that it is pretty much guaranteed to fall out and it is extremely rare for me to have a problem.
Does anyone know of a site like this for Washington State….specifically Bellingham/Burlington? We cross border shop often but do our main Costco shopping in Langley, BC
to Sarah – in my dishwasher the Fishish tabs don’t completely dissolve. So there is a pasty mess to clean up in the dispenser cup. Don’t get that issue with Cascade. But hey if you try them and don’t like them you can always take them back.
And to the Costco Blogger – Wow man – even on Vacation you are thinking about the many of us who rely on this info. Thanks. And have a great vacation.
I find that local water conditions (neutral, alkaline, or “hard”) significantly affect how well certain brands/types of dishwasher detergent perform. I find that alkaline liquid detergents with chlorine work best with my “soft” (West coast) water. You’ll have to experiment to find what works best for you …
Got a new Bosch dishwasher 10 months ago, and have been using powder as recommended by the manual. And using about 20% to 25% less than the standard amount because of the soft water in Vancouver. The reduction is also based on the recommendation from the manual. And I’m very pleased with the result. For me, both Cascade Advanced powder and Finish power ball tablet clean equally well. Since it’s more economical for me to use powder, I’m hoping that Costco will have the Cascade Advanced powder back before I run out.
Thanks very much for letting us know. I am a recent subscriber. I can’t believe I do miss receiving your post delivery this morning. When your post did not show up in my mailbox, I thought something was wrong with my Outlook. I think I am addicted to your website. Thank you for doing this on your own time. Please do not hesitate to let us know how we can repay you for your time spent taking pictures of all the un-advertised items at Costco. Thanks again.
Thanks for the great comment Jay! My blog is supported through Google Adsense (pay per click advertising). I plan to keep this blog free for users forever! The best thing you can do to support me is to tell you friends and family about my website!
There are couple Ads on my right screen from your blog, do I click on these Ads to activate the Google Adsense? Normally I just skip these Ads. Thanks.

Have a wonderful holiday and thank you very much to your brother for a great job!!
Does anyone know when costco sells the metal contigo water bottles? Or is there another store where I can find them? Thank you

Thanks as always!

Thanks to your brother for getting this week’s deals! Enjoy your vacation …
Great Post. Noted though, you have a pic of Sunbeam lights, with a Luminous price tag for Chandelier bulbs.
Thanks as always, Tynan! Wishing you a great vacation!
Which between the two Oral B and Phillips electric toothbrushes is better? Can you please share your experience? Looking to get a set for us.
I have never used the Oral B, but I have used a Sonicare for over 10 years. I’m a fan.

The Sonicare battery is hermetically sealed, so you can’t replace it. It just gets thrown out.

Here is an article on replacing the sonicare battery. http://www.instructables.com/id/Sonicare-Elite-7300-Battery-Replacement/
Thanks, I never knew that the batteries could be replaced.

Great job filling in with the pictures. It is very appreciated, as always. Thanks to you both.
Thanks for going out of your way to do this. Also thanks to your brother for his helping hand.
Hope you get tickets to Hamilton.
Have a great holiday!!
I’m addicted to your blog as well! Thank you for thinking about all of us!

Which is the better dishwasher detergent? Finish, or Cascade?
I use Finish and have had no issues even though my dishwasher recommends Cascade!
I’ve used both and can’t tell the difference between cascade or finish quantum.

Hope you have a lovely family vacay. thanks for your brother CostcoWest, I feel lost without this website.
Taking family pictures is way better than taking merchandise pictures at Costco. Have a good time
We got some good pictures! It was 32 degrees and sunny over here today!
