The GOOD bean Sweet Chili Chickpeas Review

The Good Bean Sweet Chili Chickpeas

Today I’m reviewing the Good Bean Sweet Chili Chickpeas from Costco! I decided to try them as a healthy snack option and I was intrigued by the chili flavor!

Cost

I bought these on sale for $4.99 Canadian. The regular price is $6.99 Canadian. Not bad for a big bag of roasted chickpeas!

Convenience

These are great to have as a snack or you can also add them to salads or other dishes! The bag is resealable which is definitely a positive. The best before date on the Good Bean Sweet Chili Chickpeas is about a year from the date I purchased them!

The Good Bean Sweet Chili Chickpeas Nutrition

Nutrition

1/3 cup is 120 calories, three grams of fat, 95 mg of sodium, 18 grams of carbohydrates, two grams of sugar and six grams of protein. The ingredients list is short as well. I was curious about the Alpha-tocopherol so I looked it up and apparently it’s a form of Vitamin E!

Taste

These are basically like crunchy, hard, roasted chickpeas. They’re nice and crunchy and definitely have that signature chickpea flavor. The chili flavor isn’t very strong, you really have to look for it to taste it but you do get a little bit of a delayed heat/spice that hits after you’ve ate a few. I’m a wimp when it comes to heat and didn’t find these too hot or spicy at all. I find the more you eat these, the better they taste. The first one I tried I wasn’t so sure about but they got better the more I ate them. I have to say I do definitely prefer The Good Bean Sea Salt Chickpeas which aren’t flavored other than sea salt and are more versatile. You can definitely eat these alone as a snack or you can add them to salads or others dishes for a bit of extra crunch! I know someone who adds these to green beans.

These are a fun, high protein, lower-calorie snack that’s great if you’re look to replace your frequent chip consumption! As I said I prefer the regular sea salt flavor but these were still okay!

  1. Found them chauky and dry like eating to no surprise …chick pea flour. Low calories as can’t eat to many at once might choke. Flavour is ok, I think they just need to be paired with something that gives them moisture , on salad .. any suggestions?

  2. i agree my family bought some and they are not great in my opinion. there was really no flavor. no sweet and no chili. we won’t be buying this again, but thanks for the review !!!

  3. There must be something wrong with my tastebuds! I took my bag back to Costco. To me, these had absolutely no flavor and tasted like dried out pods of dirt.

I’ve agreed with most of your other reviews, so I gladly say it’s just me, but I sure wouldn’t reach for these.
