Hi it’s Natalie from the Costco food and product review fan blog Costcuisine! If you like my reviews for Costco food products the greatest thing you can do is follow me on Instagram or Facebook and also tell your friends about my blog Costcuisine where I review tons of Costco food products each week! In the last week, I reviewed the Costco Mom’s Best Almond Biscotti, Costco Caesar’s Kitchen Chicken Florentine with Riced Cauliflower, Costco Kirkland Signature Beef Chili, Costco Kirkland Signature Raspberry Crumble Cookies and did a Costco Bakery Christmas Selection Mega Post!
I went a little wild last time I was at Costco, stocking up on a ton of chocolate treats. I don’t eat a lot of pistachios but I’ve had the Costco Lamontagne Caffe Latte Almonds before and absolutely loved them so I decided to pick up the Lamontagne Milk Chocolate Pistachios to review.
Cost
I paid $14.89 Canadian for the 500 gram bag of Lamontagne Milk Chocolate Pistachios. This isn’t bad considering that pistachios aren’t a cheap nut!
Convenience
I absolutely love that the bag is resealable to keep the milk chocolate pistachios nice and fresh! These are great to snack on alone and would be awesome to put out over the holiday season. You can also use them to make cookies (something I’ll probably do). The best before date is well over a year from the date I purchased these.
Nutrition
38 pieces is 220 calories, 14 grams of fat, 19 grams of carbohydrates, two grams of fibre, 15 grams of sugar, 55mg of sodium and five grams of protein. That’s not bad for 38! Although pistachios are healthy they’re high in calories and the chocolate coating knocks down the healthiness of the pistachios.
Taste
These are SO good for the holiday season. If you love pistachios and milk chocolate, you will LOVE these! I don’t even love pistachios (I’m more of an almond or macadamia nut kind of girl) but I loved these! They’re much smaller than a chocolate-covered almond, similar to the size of a chocolate-covered raisin so it’s easy to eat a handful of these. The milk chocolate is sweet, smooth and delicious. The pistachio flavor is quite mild but still comes through, it’s a tad bit overpowered by the milk chocolate. I love that these are nice and crunchy. I’m totally using these to make cookies and will also share some with my mom who loves pistachios.
I haven’t ever seen or tried milk chocolate covered pistachios so I recommend just trying these for their novelty!

What’s your favorite chocolate covered nut?
it’s a bit out of our price range but it was on sale so we got a bag – nice that’s it Canadian milk, gluten free with celiac approval plus himalayan pink salt for extra flavour – nice treat because it’s on sale but wouldn’t be a regular buy
That sounds like a good idea, to use them to make some yummy cookies.
