Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Freshbell Pomegranate Jelly Stick, Costco J Way Boba Milk Tea Variety Set, Costco Kirkland Signature Chicken Vindaloo and the Kirkland Signature Deluxe Cauliflower Crust Pizza.

Has anyone ever had the Kirkland Signature Macadamia Nut Clusters? Those were a favorite of ours because they reminded us of elevated Turtles but we never saw them at Costco this year around Christmas. I’ve been trying all different kinds of chocolates from Costco in hopes I’d find something just as good so I picked these milk chocolate pecans by Lamontagne up on my last trip.
I paid $14.99 Canadian for the 850 gram bag, which isn’t overly expensive considering that pecans aren’t the cheapest nut.
The bag reseals which helps keep them fresh and the best before date on the bag is about 17 months from when we bought them. These are great on their own but you could also use them in baking which is what I might do!
Seven pieces contain 220 calories, 14 grams of fat, 23 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, 21 grams of sugar, two grams of protein and 50 milligrams of sodium. That’s actually not bad! I think just two or three of these are enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. At least they have healthy fats from the pecans! The ingredients list isn’t overly long with a ton of chemicals/additives too.
These are similar to any other chocolate covered nut. The taste is pretty good, if you like the combination of chocolate and pecans you’ll like these but there really isn’t much to say about them. The chocolate is nice but not amazing, it has a very slight chalky flavor. The pecans are good and taste fresh but the amount of chocolate kind of overpowers them. This is fine for me because I prefer chocolate over pecans but if you’re a true pecan lover you may find there’s too much chocolate.
