Today I’m reviewing the new Crispeez Chocolats Favoris from Costco.
The 500-gram box comes with 20 individually wrapped squares and I paid $12.99 Canadian.
Each square is individually packaged so it’s really easy to pop one in a lunch bag or purse. The best-before date is about ten months from when I purchased them. They’re gluten-free as well as nut-free which makes them school safe and I think kids would love these.
One square has 120 calories, five grams of fat,16 grams of carbohydrates, 11 grams of sugar, zero grams of fiber, 11 grams of sugar, one gram of protein and 35 milligrams of sodium. The ingredients definitely aren’t healthy, mainly because of all the sugar. They contain milk, soy and egg.
These are quite tasty! There’s a noticeable caramel dulce de leche flavor combined with milk chocolate. The inside of the square is rice cereal but it’s not as chewy and crispy as a Rice Krispie, it’s softer and the rice cereal is all combined together. They’re soft and easy to eat but melt easily in your hand if you don’t eat them right away. I gave my 18-month-old daughter a bite and she enjoyed it. These are like an elevated Rice Krispie treat with the dulce de leche flavor and a nice milk chocolate coating.
