Today I’m reviewing the Five Peaks Adventure Snacks Smores. I saw these at Costco and they looked like something tasty for a sweet snack at work so I bought a box. There are 24 bars and I paid $18.99 Canadian.
Each smores bar is individually packaged and the best before date is ten months from when I purchased them. These work well as an quick sweet treat on-the-go! They’d also be really great camping, on a road trip or while travelling. Kids will like them too!
There are 130 calories, four grams of fat, 24 grams of carbohydrates, three grams of fibre, 12 grams of sugar, one gram of protein and 55 milligrams of sodium in each bar. The ingredients list has a bunch of unhealthy ingredients like sugar and palm kernel oil but that’s kind of expected for a sweet bar like this.
The bars are okay, not amazing. They don’t taste exactly like a real smore. The crust is soft and crumbly, it reminds me of any soft baked oat bar. The marshmallow center is quite sweet and spongey. The chocolate is decent but not the best chocolate I’ve had. I think kids would love these in their lunch packs but I’m not totally in love with them. I like them enough to finish the box but will likely tire of them by the time my box is finished.
