Balderson Smoked Cheddar Review

Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Mila Soup Dumplings and the Allen Family Foods White Chicken Chili

If you like my reviews for Costco food products, the best thing is that you can follow me on Instagram or Facebook and tell your friends about my blog Costcuisine, where I review new Costco food products each week! You can also check out my YouTube channel, where I do video reviews!

I wanted to try some new cheese on our burgers at home so I bought this Balderson Double Smoked Cheddar. The 500 gram block of cheese cost me $13.49 Canadian.

Although it’s quite a strong flavored cheese, there’s so many ways you can use this! On burgers, in sandwiches, to make homemade BBQ chicken pizza and on a charcuterie board. The best before date is 10 months from when I bought it.

In 30 grams of cheese there are 120 calories, 10 grams of fat, one grams of carbohydrates, zero grams of fibre and sugar, seven grams of protein and 180 milligrams of sodium. The cheese is gluten and soy-free but contains milk.

This is really good, it’s very smoky but in an enjoyable way. You taste the smokiness first and the sweetness and tanginess of the cheddar second. It’s very good and excellent on burgers to add some additional smokiness!

Cost: 7.5/10

Convenience: 10/10

Nutrition: 8/10

Taste: 8/10
