I needed a side for a barbecue I was hosting and picked up this Crunchy Grain Salad by Summer Fresh. It’s perfect for anyone who’s following a plant-based or dairy-free diet. In the packs there’s 5 small 200 gram bowls of salad and the pack is $13.99 Canadian at Costco.
The salad needs to be kept refrigerated and I don’t think it’d be great frozen and thawed. Each container is a perfect size to bring to work for lunch, have as a snack or have as a side salad. I would suggest pairing this with any kind of barbecue foods!
There are 290 calories, six grams of fat, 19 grams of carbohydrates, three grams of fibre, seven grams of protein, three grams of protein and 440 milligrams of sodium in one container. The salad is not gluten-free.
I enjoyed this product, it will be a great side at any summer barbecue. The dressing is a sweet vinaigrette. The brocolli, carrots and pepper as well as the pumpkin seeds give the salad a nice bit of crunchy texture. The dried cranberries add an additional heat of sweetness that I like. Everyone who tried the salad agreed it was pretty good.
