Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Kirkland Signature Chantilly Cake and the Costco Robert Irvine’s Protein Bars.

I needed some snacks to send with my daughter to daycare and she asked for me to pick these turkey pepperoni sausages up from Costco. You get two 500 gram packs for $18.99 Canadian.
The best before date listed on the turkey pepperoni is two months from when I bought them and they need to be kept in the refrigerator. I’m sure you could freeze them to keep them longer. These go perfectly with crackers and cheese or just on their own for a low carb, high protein snack. Once the bag is opened it unfortunately doesn’t seal again so I stored my package in a Ziplock bag.
One turkey pepperoni has 50 calories, three grams of fat, one gram of carbohydrates, zero grams of fibre and sugar, six grams of protein and 290 milligrams of sodium. The sausages also have a short ingredients list and are gluten and dairy free.
These are just okay, not the best turkey pepperoni I’ve had. They have a bit of a licorice flavor to them and my daughter found them too spicy so refused to eat them. I would say the amount of heat is very mild but still noticeable. They’re quite salty as well. The texture is soft and chewy and not too tough. I probably wouldn’t buy these again, that odd licorice aftertaste kind of turned me off.
