Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Kirkland Signature Pork Carnitas Burritos and the Costco Olivia’s Cake Pops.

We love Caesar salad in our house but I get tired of spending so much on pre-packaged salad kits so I bought this La Maison Fresh Garlic Caesar Dressing at Costco to keep for all my Caesar salad making needs! I paid only $8.99 Canadian for the 1.4 liter bottle.
The salad dressing/dip needs to be kept in the refrigerator once opened and the best before date is about 10 months from when I purchased it. I was skeptical about using this as a dip for raw veggies because I feared it’d have a very strong anchovy flavor but it doesn’t! It actually works really well as a dip and is also great in wraps or on sandwiches!
Two tablespoons of dressing/dip contains 140 calories, 15 grams of fat, one gram of carbohydrates, zero grams of fibre, zero grams of sugar and 240 milligrams of sodium. This is definitely not a low fat/low calorie salad dressing. The ingredients list is pretty typical for a store-bought salad dressing, I don’t love seeing soybean oil as the oil used. I try to make my salad dressings at home with avocado or olive oil.
I made a Caesar salad when I was hosting people for dinner using this dressing and everyone seemed to like it. It doesn’t have a strong garlic flavor or strong anchovy flavor which I like but you still get that typical Caesar dressing flavor. It’s smooth and creamy and a little goes a long way. It tastes just as good as the Caesar dressing I get in the salad kits I buy.
