I’ve tried a few Robert Irvine protein products in the past and thought they were pretty decent so I decided to pick up these protein brownies to try as a sweet treat. The box comes with 18 brownies and costs $24.99 which isn’t that expensive for a protein product!
Each brownie is packaged separately so you can easily pop one in your gym bag, lunch bag, purse, backpack or office desk! The expiry date on the brownies is a year and four months from when I bought them at Costco. The box states these should be stored at room temperature.
One brownie has 160 calories, seven grams of fat, 15 grams of carbohydrates, four grams of fibre, four grams of sugar, six grams of sugar alcohols, 12 grams of protein and 190 milligrams of sodium. These aren’t loaded with as much as protein as a protein bar and have a similar number of calories and fat.
Both my husband and I tried these and didn’t care for them and we’re used to protein bars, protein powder etc. These are just like a chocolate protein bar, not a brownie. The texture is chewy and they’re a bit hard. The thing my husband and I didn’t like about these is how pronounced the artificial sweetener flavor was and how chalky they tasted. I wouldn’t recommend these dipped brownies.

Nutrition: 3/10 (Points for protein but these aren’t exactly nutritious).
