Costco West Sales Items for January 2-7, 2018 for BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for visiting!  I walk the Whole Costco Warehouse every Monday  take pictures of all the exciting sales items to save YOU time!  Come back every Monday for updates!

Happy New Year Everyone!  I hope everyone had a chance to spend the holidays with family and friends.  Congratulations again to Lindsay Johnson and Jarrah Florence, who were the winners of a $50 Costco Cash Card – your cards were put into the mail today!  Thanks again to everyone who entered the contest.  It is nice to know that so many of you stop by to check out this blog every week.  My goal with this blog is to help everyone save a little bit of money and time.

Lots of great items on sale this week.  Although the meat section may not apply to all Costco’s in the West, Whole Denuded Beef Tenderloins are for sale. This is a great deal if you are looking to cut your own steaks or make a deliciously tender roast.  Denuded beef just means that all the surface fat has been cut off.

We just ran out of Kodiak Pancake and Waffle Mix.  This makes for some easy Sunday breakfasts and has 14 grams of protein per serving.  The Cavendish Hash Brown Patties and the Belmont Meat Beef Burgers are another favorite in our house.  My daughter likes to eat a box of Organic Medjool Dates every couple of weeks and I don’t think I have ever seen this product go on sale since I have been dong this!  I’ll have to grab a couple of boxes!

If you are new to this blog – or wondering why the prices or products are different at your Western Canada Costco, please click here to read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)!

Happy Shopping!

*** One thing to keep in mind when reading this blog is that sales items in the meat and produce section are store dependent – the manager sets the sales for these items. For that reason, the chicken sales that you see this week (and last) may not be available at your store. Also, any items on the blog that end in ‘.97’ means the item is on a clearance. These ‘.97’ items are also store dependent. If you are interested in one of these products you can check with customer service to see if any of the items is available at a nearby store! If you purchased the product previously and it has gone on sale, if you bring in the original receipt and you have purchased the product withing 30 days (or longer, depending on the employee), Costco will refund you the difference!

Use these posts to make the best use of your Costco Card! I have done all the hard work for you and have a weekly listings of all the Costco Sales Items and flyers. Costco does not publish these Costco sales items; the only way to find out what is on sale is to walk the whole store! Come back every Monday to find out what is on sale for the week. The sales may vary slightly by store, but are generally pretty consistent between Western Canada. If there is something you really want, please make sure to double check the expiry date as some of the Costco sales items have been known to end mid-week.

  1. Pork tenderloin on Jan 4 was not available for the $5 refund at the Langley Costco.
Spoke to meat manager and he said it was on sale the previous week.
I have just started using your blog and have found it helpful . I also made a special trip to the store for the tenderloin.

  2. Nuk Nuk slippers are being cleared out… Limited sizes, mostly small are available – womens are $20.97 and men’s are $14.97. Good deal!

  3. Thanks for all your efforts! Was wondering if you ever see or know when the photo prints is on sale. I stumbled on it once and it was on sale for $0.15 a print. Would love to print some pictures of my newborn 🙂

  4. Thank you so much for posting the items. It is a great help to us and we enjoy
knowing what to shop for when we go to Costco God bless Edwin

  5. Thanks again, you are a super-star.

How many ads can we click before you hit a cap? Wasn’t sure how many you get paid for and if they cap it per ISP etc…

    Cheers

  6. We are looking for Kirkland brand Salted Caramel Macademia Nut Clusters (Item # 297671)
I saw them in the Langley, BC warehouse in late October or early November and went back a week later and they were gone. Also checked Surrey warehouse–none. If you ever see them, I would love to hear about it!!! Love your blog and I look forward to reading it. thank you!

    • At your local store, ask an employee to check the item number in their system. You will then find out which stores have that item in stock.

    • Hi Kathy

You can always phone one Costco and and ask the office if they have that item number. If they do not they can tell you which Costco has them and how many they have. It saves you from driving all over.

      Hope this helps.

  7. Samsung in general has earned a poor reputation in the consumer appliance sector.
Not only are their appliances unreliable, but their service is horrendous.

I have no experience with the product they are streaming through costco, however.

Costco would do well to source their consumer appliances with more reputable brands, so that we could buy with confidence (as we do, all other Costco goods)

    • I couldn’t agree more. I’ve seen family members go through appliances like light bulbs. Last time my sister bought one from Sears with an extended warranty.. she still has 2.5 years left on her extended warranty, but a lot of good that will do with Sears = dead. She tried calling Samsung, and they basically told her to call a service person, and clearly started that it would be on her dime for the repairs.
Real nice, I’ve boycotted Samsung appliances for 10 years, and holding and not regretting that fact.

    • Both Samsung and LG are S. Korean companies so their products may be made there or at their Chinese factories. Their service and parts supply network in North America isn’t very good. Miele and Bosch are European/German companies and may have similar issues on service and parts. Whirlpool is about the only large true US manufacturer left, and they own most of the remaining companies left like Maytag, KitchenAid, Amana, Inglis and the like. They probably have the best parts and service network of all.

While it can be said that all of these companies make appliances I’m not sure that it can be said that any of them make truly reliable appliances.

      • Yale appliance blog’s latest most reliable brands post puts Samsung roughly middle of the pack at 10.9% of their appliances needing service within the first year. Top 3 were Whirlpool (4%), Amana (4%) and LG (5.3%). Last at #16 was Thermador with 16.6%.

Google “yale appliance most reliable appliance brands” to find the article. Not putting a link here cause my post might go into moderation hell.

  8. Love your blog and thanks for all the hard work taking all the photos. I always visit your blog before shopping at Costco.

  9. Thanks again for posting these every week, much appreciated!

I used to buy the Cavendish hash browns when they were nicely arranged in rows in the package. I stopped buying them when they started throwing them haphazardly in a large bag, and instead buy the neatly packaged ones from Superstore now. I know the Costco ones are usually cheaper, but I won’t buy them because of the crappy packaging!

  10. Love your blog and thanks for all the hard work taking all the photos. i always bisit your blog weekly before shopping at Costco
