West Costco Sales Items for August 8-14 for BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan
I’m actually back for one day in civilization before I head back out on my last 3 weeks of parental leave (not really vacation when you are on the road with a baby)
As always there were lots of items again this week – many of them not on the flyer!!!! There are LOTS of clearance items – these are denoted by the ‘.97’ ending on the price and vary by location. To check if a store still has stock you can ask an employee to check on their computer to see what stores may still have stock.
One thing to keep in mind when reading this blog is that sales items in the meat and produce section are store dependent – the manager sets the sales for these items. For that reason, the chicken sales that you see this week (and last) may not be available at your store. Also, any items on the blog that end in ‘.97’ means the item is on a clearance. These ‘.97’ items are also store dependent. If you are interested in one of these products you can check with customer service to see if any of the items is available at a nearby store! If you purchased the product previously and it has gone on sale, if you bring in the original receipt and you have purchased the product withing 30 days (or longer, depending on the employee), Costco will refund you the difference!
Happy Shopping!
Check out my post about Five ways to Save Money at Costco!!!
Use these posts to make the best use of your Costco Card! I have done all the hard work for you and have a weekly listings of all the Costco Sales Items and flyers. Costco does not publish these Costco sales items; the only way to find out what is on sale is to walk the whole store! Come back every Monday to find out what is on sale for the week. The sales may vary slightly by store, but are generally pretty consistent between Western Canada. If there is something you really want, please make sure to double check the expiry date as some of the Costco sales items have been known to end mid-week.

Great as usual, time to ‘Ty one on’ after my Costco trip
I bought the “Emjoi Micro Pedi” two days ago for $29.99.
As soon as the secret sale for this week was available, I took it back the Costco for price adjustment, but they couldn’t find it at this clearance price ($19.97) anywhere in Edmonton.
Just wondering that price is just special for certain area(s) of the province of Alberta or in Alberta or only in certain western provinces.
Thanks.
If you scroll back up to the top and read the notes you will see:
“Also, any items on the blog that end in ‘.97’ means the item is on a clearance. These ‘.97’ items are also store dependent. If you are interested in one of these products you can check with customer service to see if any of the items is available at a nearby store!”
Bottom line these .97 items might not be available at any store in your Province. It’s very hit and miss.
Thank you very much.
Great tip on the life jackets! I picked up a kids one at Costco in St. Albert today.
Always a good summary of sales. Thanks.
“If you purchased the product previously and it has gone on sale, if you bring in the original receipt and you have purchased the product withing 30 days (or longer, depending on the employee), Costco will refund you the difference!”
When have they started above. In the past I was told to do a return and buy at the lower price. Also does the price match needs to be done at the time its on sale? If I bought a regular price item 3 weeks ago and last week it was on sale but not this week, can I get the difference now with the receipt? I did not know it was in force and did purchase before sale.
Regardless, its a nice feature negating the need to carry stuff to the store especially if partially used. lol.
From what I recall you have to go in and request the price match to the sale price while the item is still on sale. Once the sale is over they won’t let you match against it afterwards.
There’s absolutely no reason why you should have to do a return and then have to re-buy at the lower price. They can do a simple price correction and credit you and you don’t have to bring the goods in for that (though they might ask for your original receipt I’m not sure). And yes the return/re-buy thing used to be the case but should not be any more as far as I know.
When I asked today, the rep said exactly as you posted that the sale needs to be active to get the difference but she also said that the matching sale prices are only good for 2 weeks. Maybe it does depend on the rep.
I was looking for VIM power & shine today and could not find it. I asked the clerk and was told its was all gone , is that possible, the add says good to 21 August.
VIM power and Shine appears to be a standard stock item so they’ll probably try and get more in. Your store obviously misjudged the demand for this item. Check again before the sale ends and you might find it.
any other halloween stuff besides the costumes?
I say fun size treats and fun size playdoh. A few other things too, but I wasn’t paying attention!
Saw a motion activated display of 3 witches.
Thank You!
Thank you, I live an hour away from the nearest Costco, your blog is very helpful when deciding on a “Costco Run”!
Thanks! Great post! I picked up two snorkel sets at the Medicine Hat Costco for 14.97 each. Discounted even a bit more. They were originally 44.99.
Thanks Tynan! Good stuff on sale this week. 🙂
