PREVIEW: Kirkland Infant Formula: October 30- November 5, 2017 for BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan

Hi Everyone,

I don’t make early posts usually, but I know there have been a lot of people hoping that Infant formula is on sale!  This is the week to stock up.  I think this sale only goes on once a year it happened the same time last year.  Make sure to share this one with little ones or people expecting a child!

***  These are the prices from last year.  The store is not open yet.  I haven’t purchased Infant Formula from Costco, but the prices may have gone up a dollar or two (or it may be the same.***

As for the regular Monday post, I will have it up later tonight!

CHECK OUT PART 2 – SEASONAL – CHRISTMAS, CHOCOLATES AND TOYS

*** One thing to keep in mind when reading this blog is that sales items in the meat and produce section are store dependent – the manager sets the sales for these items. For that reason, the chicken sales that you see this week (and last) may not be available at your store. Also, any items on the blog that end in ‘.97’ means the item is on a clearance. These ‘.97’ items are also store dependent. If you are interested in one of these products you can check with customer service to see if any of the items is available at a nearby store! If you purchased the product previously and it has gone on sale, if you bring in the original receipt and you have purchased the product withing 30 days (or longer, depending on the employee), Costco will refund you the difference!

Use these posts to make the best use of your Costco Card! I have done all the hard work for you and have a weekly listings of all the Costco Sales Items and flyers. Costco does not publish these Costco sales items; the only way to find out what is on sale is to walk the whole store! Come back every Monday to find out what is on sale for the week. The sales may vary slightly by store, but are generally pretty consistent between Western Canada. If there is something you really want, please make sure to double check the expiry date as some of the Costco sales items have been known to end mid-week.

  1. It seems like this formula is only on sales once a year? We’re expecting for February and not sure if we should stock up now.

    • The expiration date on the formula will be far enough in the future that you should not have any problems buying now – even if you do not plan to use it until the infant is older. Just be realistic with how much you purchase because once they eat “typical” food you will probably discontinue the formula and move to cows milk (around one year I believe is the recommendation).

      • Baby can start drinking cow’s milk at around 9 months. However, formula/breast milk is still supposed to be the main source of nutrients for baby. But grabbing a case or two would be good. And if you don’t use it, it would be well loved by the food bank!

    • Formula also usually goes on sale end of February, beginning of March. Either way it does have a very good expiry date on it.

    • As a mom of two, I would advice against stocking up on any formula. Your baby may or may not tolerate it and you don’t want to go through the hassle of returning. Sign up to receive free samples of formula from all websites like similac, enfamil and nestle good start and they send a good amount to try out plus coupons

      • On the flip side of that, when our daughter was around 5-6 months old, Costco discontinued the Kirkland formula that we had been using (years ago now). We ended up driving to another city so that we could stock up and not have to switch brands. So for the same reason you advise against stocking up, I would stock up. 🙂

  2. Thanks for the heads up, we don’t need formula anymore but when we did we loved these sales!! I will share your post with my mama friends. Now I just need a sale on diapers before we run out
