Costco West Sale Items for April 9-15, 2018, 2018 for BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone is having a great week!  I have been traveling for work so I’m posting today a bit late!  This weekend, I spent some time trying to add a discussion forum to this blog.  It has been a frequently requested feature to serve as a place where people can ask Costco related questions.  You will need to register to be able to post new topics and reply.  You can register for the forums here and you can access the forums here.

There are lots of great items on sale this week!  Make sure to pick up some sunscreen for the summer, some mint Tic Tacs and some Parmesan Cheese Whisps!

If last year was any indication, next week (or the week after) I predict will be the annual organic food sale.  Take a look at last year’s Organic food sale to see what items were on sale.

  1. Really love the weekly posts. I’m especially glad you are posting the nutritional labels. I know it’s extra work, but it’s really appreciated.

  2. Just a few comments…

    1. Avoid the Nexgen grill. It’s poor quality and retains heat poorly.

    2. The razors are also of inferior quality from what you would buy in smaller packs at Superstore or London Drugs.

    3. The cereals are really high in sugar regardless of the other ingredients.

    4. Costco Canada ditched the Wonton noodle again and replaced it with this chicken noodle instead. You have to go to Costco USA to buy it. Also Costco Bellingham takes Mastercard as an exception…so I’ve been told.

      • you will pay a 2.5 – 3.5% premium if you use your Canadian Costco MasterCard to pay for your order or gas. That is in addition to the exchange fee. Plus you will pay this premium again if you have to return an item.

    • Milo:

The razors are the same, do not post incorrect information. Why would a company provide inferior quality to one of the largest sellers of their product?

        • I think you are both technically right. Costco USA will use the back of the Canadian Card to scan your membership however the payment cannot go through on MasterCard, the store will only process a Visa Card.

So yes, they can scan your membership number off of the Canadian Costco Membership card but cannot process the payment.

      • Sorry, but you’re wrong! Shopped there last week and used my Costco MC. ALL U.S. Costco’s accept Canadian Costco Mastercards. Instore ONLY! Can’t be used ONLINE! Verified!!!

      • I just used my Canadian. Mastercard at Costco in Hawaii in the store and for gas. Just put it in and voila! The cashiers aren’t even sure but it works. I used it at Christmas time and over spring break. It’s true you have to pay the going exchange rate and the 2.5 % additional fee. And another 2.5 if you return something so be mindful!
