Cellphone Plan Wars: $75 for 20GB BYOD Plans from Telus, Rogers, Bell
Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to let you all know that if you are a heavy user of data, Rogers, Bell and Telus are having a bit of a price war that you may be interested in! Telus, Bell and Rogers are all offering $75/20GB unlimited data plans. These plans will expire on January 27, 2020. After you use up 20Gb, your data will be throttled to 512 kbps. These plans BOYD, Bring Your Own Device Plans, so you will need to own your own hardware.
As far as I can see, if you want to share your data with another device like a smartwatch or tablet, you may have to purchase another add on. Shareable data is offered with the $85/20GB plan. Telus and Rogers are both advertising these plans online (links below), but Bell does not have anything online as of yet.
Some months I am a pretty heavy user of data, but this will probably allow me to hand over the tablet to my daughter when she is getting restless at a restaurant to watch Netflix or Disney+ without worrying about hitting my data limit. Before this, I was on a $75/10Gb BYOD plan, so I didn’t really have anything to lose!
Happy Shopping!

I had a same plan like you and changed it to 20G.
Thank you so much!!!
I am with Bell. I called in and spoke with a Loyalty Team Member and they gave me the 20GB for $75. woo-hoo!
Me too!
Of course, she had me wait while she checked if it was only for new customers, then after giving me the ‘good news’, said there was a $10 change fee that she had already waived.
I only had 3GB before, so this will be great for hot-spotting my laptop, iPad & kids when necessary!
BYOD actually means bring your own device!
