Hi Everyone!
I hope you are all doing well! It was a pretty busy week for me so I’m happy the weekend is coming up. I changed my winter tires back to my summer tires over at Costco today while I was shopping. I’m pretty happy with the ability to book tire appointments online right now. I can now do my shopping and photos while the tire centre works on my car. Gone are the days of standing in a freezing line outside Costco early in the morning – because who has time for that?
There were quite a few new items for sale this weekend. I don’t believe I’ve see then wine fridge for discounted before. The Waterridge One Piece Toilet with Dual Flush is on sale if you are looking for a replacement. The Ooni Koda Pizza Oven is also on sale if you are adventurous.
Have a safe and fun weekend everyone!
Happy Shopping!

Hi. We were at Still Creek Burnaby Costco Saturday afternoon. There was no trace or evidence of the air conditioner. It appears to be a very hot item.
We all know you’re quite lucky, did Costco charge you for the winter tire swap? Normally, that’s an extra charge wherever you go compared to the standard gratis tire rotation for the same tires, usually every 8 or 10K?
I know, in the past, we stopped buying Costco tires because many local competitors would price match Costco, some even provide an extra discount, say 5% over Costco’s best price. These tire shops often don’t include nitrogen air and their balancing and installation are always more expensive.
At Costco, we must wait to get our air checked or to add nitrogen when we we’re low, something that “they” say shouldn’t happen with nitrogen air-filled tires.
Furthermore, many tire shops offer roadside hazard warranty (outside the manufacturer) unlike Costco where if you have a nail in the sidewall or if you hit a curb and your tire needs to be replaced, they’ll replace the tire for free (pro-rated treadwear) plus balancing. As explained to me, Costco doesn’t offer that. Only the OEM warranty, which is lame and only covers manufacturing defects.
Overall, servicing our tires wasn’t convenient, and we don’t want to wait more than 30 minutes, especially since automotive dealerships already include tire rotations in their service packages. You’re paying for it whether you want the tire rotation service or not. Has things changed recently with Costco?
