Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Paisley Farm Beet & Onion Salad and the Costco Simple Mills Organic Seed Flour Crackers.

My husband likes to have a stash of protein bars in the house so I picked up this box of Robert Irvine’s Protein Bars. There are 18 bars in the box and the box costs $22.99 Canadian (on sale).
The bars are individually wrapped so they’re perfect to pop into your work or gym bag or lunch. The best-before date is a year and five months from when I purchased them. Protein bars are great for anyone who tends to skip or miss meals or snacks because they’re constantly on the go.
One bar contains 210 calories, 11 grams of fat, 16 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, four grams of sugar, seven grams of sugar alcohol, 16 grams of protein and 140 milligrams of sodium.
The bars have milk, soy, almond and peanut but are gluten-free.
These are quite tasty for a protein bar although pretty sweet and they have a noticeable artificial sweetener flavor! The outer part of the bar has some crispy pieces on it which I like and the inside of the bar is quite chewy and also soft, like a brownie. You have to enjoy chocolate to like these but if you’re looking for a sweet snack (that tastes like a chocolate bar) with additional protein these are pretty good.
