Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Kirkland Signature Stuffed Chicken Breasts and the Costco Tattooed Chef Sheet Pan Vegetables.

I’ve seen these Sara Lee Little Bites at my local Costco for as long as I can remember but I’ve never actually picked them up to try. I figured I’d grab a box for the summer as a snack to bring camping, to the park, to the lake, etc.
There are 20 pouches in the box and each pouch contains four mini muffins. I paid $12.49 Canadian for the box. That’s less than a dollar per pack.
The individual packs don’t reseal once they’re open. The best before date on the muffins is about three months from when I purchased them. The muffins are peanut-free so they’re school safe and are perfect for a lunch bag or just a snack to have at home! I will point out that four muffins is too many for my toddler so I usually have to store the remaining two in a Ziplock bag or tupperware.
One small bag or four muffins has 200 calories, 10 grams of fat, 25 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, 12 grams of sugar, two grams of protein and 220 milligrams of sodium. The sugar isn’t as high as I thought it would be for four muffins, which I appreciate. The ingredients list isn’t exactly healthy, so I try to only serve treats like this occasionally!
These taste just how you would expect them to taste. They’re slightly moist, a bit oily and have a sweet but not overly sweet dough! The chocolate chips aren’t really that noticeable, you just get a bit of a hint of chocolate flavor/additional sweetness from them. The texture is pretty light and a little artificial tasting. I don’t think a lot of adults would find these over-the-top amazing, but I do think kids will enjoy them!
