This product was already recalled less than a year ago on May 9, 2015!!! Now it is being recalled again! I remember seeing this product back in store after the recall and thinking to myself “I probably will never trust this product again.” Now that it has been recalled again you can bet I’ll just be making my own Yakitori from now on. You can see my previous post about the first recall here. This time Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd. is recalling ready-to-eat Ajinomoto brand Yakitori Chicken with Japanese-Style Fried Rice from the marketplace due to possibly undercooked chicken. Consumers should not consume the recalled product described below. BEST BEFORE:
17 SE 26 to 17 NO 05 inclusive. UPC: 0 71757 05642 8
Please return this product immediately to Costco for a full refund.
Costco does keep track of each member’s purchases and does attempt to contact members who may have purchased the recalled product through an automated phone system. This is a good time to go to the membership desk to make sure they have the correct contact information for you (especially if you have moved or changed phone numbers since you have originally purchased your membership).
Did you know that Costco lists all product recalls on its website Costco.ca (under Product Notices on the bottom menu) and in-store? In the stores I have visited, the product recall list is on a bulletin board usually near the exit of the store by employees checking receipts.

Interesting, I haven’t seen it since the recall.
They were great though.
It’s too bad. The stuff looks really good. I’ve never tried it before and you bet I never will. Thanks for the info.
