Thanks for all your good wishes last week.  The car actually still in the shop.  It needs a new front suspension.  I can’t believe all the damage that occurred from hitting a wheel.  Hopefully that is the last hit and run I have to deal with in a while.

This is the beginning of a new sales cycle for Costco and there quite a few more sales items this week!  I have the Braun Series 5 Wet and Dry Shaver and the Sonicare Electric Toothbrush.  I would recommend both of those items and they are both on sale this week!  For those of you who have hot apartments in the summer the Danby Designer Portable A/C Unit might be a good thing to buy before it gets too hot!  This Air Conditioner is rated to cool a 700 square foot room

At my Costco, Kirkland Chicken Breasts and Kirkland Organic Chicken Breasts are on sale. Babybel Cheese, Turkey Pepperoni, Apetina Feta Cheese, The Laughing Cow Cheese and Greek Style Pork Souvlaki are on sale too.

This is a good week to stock up on summer mixers, Coke and Pepsi Products are on sale, large bottles of Perrier, San Pellegrino Fruit Beverages, Nestea, Mott’s Clamato, Tropicana Orange Juice and Apple Juice are all on sale.

Villaggio Garlic Bread and Blue Diamond Almond Milk are both on sale.  In terms of snacks, Pepperidge Farms Cheddar Goldfish are on sale Nonno’s Foccacia Croutons are delicious – but I had to stop buying them because I was eating them straight out of a bowl.  Also Munchies Snack Mix is on sale again!

Liberte Organic Greek Yogurt is on sale, Harvest Meats Smoked Farmers Sausage and Belmont Angus Burgers are on sale too!

I picked up some Aylmer’s Whole (or Diced) Canned Tomatoes this week.

Happy Shopping!

Check out my post about Five ways to Save Money at Costco!!!

Use these posts to make the best use of your Costco Card! I have done all the hard work for you and have a weekly listings of all the Costco Sales Items and flyers. Costco does not publish these Costco sales items; the only way to find out what is on sale is to walk the whole store! Come back every Monday to find out what is on sale for the week. The sales may vary slightly by store, but are generally pretty consistent between Western Canada. If there is something you really want, please make sure to double check the expiry date as some of the Costco sales items have been known to end mid-week.

  1. Unfortunately the vitamin water wasn’t on sale in Winnipeg. Anxious to see today’s sales. This has become my first go to weekly never mind flyers!

  2. Hello. Loving this blog. Curious if you’ve noticed a pattern to any items going on sale? Specifically I am curious about baby wipes and the organic Aussie bites 🙂

  3. Thanks for posting. A friend recently recommended this page and now I go to Costco almost weekly. It great because I buy so many products on sale, it’s also horrible that I buy so many products on sale 🙂

  4. Love your post as always. I don’t leave a comment every time but me my friends and my family check out your post every Monday! Greatly appreciated.

  5. We bought Danby air conditioner last year from Costco for same price. We put it in our living room hoping it will cool our small apartment but It only cooled the living area that’s all.

  6. Regarding the card board taste it is not a yogurt it’s Greek style feta cheese. I don’t think they will accept it even with receipt as it has been over two months( I’ve bought it just a week before we went on holiday for two months and just came back 3 days ago.). And I can’t give it to anyone as first I opened it and second if it’s no good for us it’s no good for anyone else.

  7. Thanks so much for all the hard work you do each week getting the sale items for us.

I also like how this page is evolving with people giving their opinions on products eg the Persil, and the cardboard tasting yogurt! The heads up on recalls is useful too, I heard about a recall on this page before Costco contacted us!

    • We bought it last year on sale and it is great. You don’t even have to have a bucket or place to drain if you prefer not too. Once a day when it’s humid or once every other day I wheel it to my door and pull the plug. On really humid days I attach the hose and put it in a bucket. Anywho, it can also heat. We only use it for AC though. Seemed to not cost too much more to run as our power bill never jumped and it ran pretty much 12 hours a day everyday.

  8. What’s the price match policy? I bought both the Sonicare and Braun shaver from Costco this year. The Sonicare was in January, I believe, at regular price. The Braun shaver was recently, less than 2 months ago during the previous price-drop.

  9. That Greek feta taste like cardboard. I have the whole box sitting in a fridge and don’t know what to do with it. Waste of money:(

    • Costco wants to know what consumers don’t like. If enough of the same product is returned, they consider bringing in a different item in its place. Please return what you have (receipt is best, but not necessary if it was purchased on your membership), for a full refund. If you don’t want to waste it, your other option is to get it out of your fridge by giving it to someone else.

  10. The willingdon Costco had many items out of stock like the air conditioner.
Just so you know. The feta isn’t goats or sheep milk. That’s traditional Greek feta. I won’t buy pork anymore due to ethical issues surrounding the treatment of pigs and what they’re fed.

As always I love this blog.

  11. Thank you. Regardless of whether I’m going to Costco or not I still check your post. Thank you for doing this!

  12. Was the Alph-ghetti also on sale..?

Usually when the brown beans are on, the alpha-getti is also but I didn’t see a pic..:(

  13. I love checking this page every Monday. Thanks!

My husband also noticed that you take a picture of the front of the product and the label with the nutrition value. He really appreciates that ?

    • The smell of the Persil detergent is overbearing. My washer is in the kitchen, and the artificial flowery smell fills the air in a bad way. Suds more than I’m used to in my front load. Does it work? Yessss. Very nice cleaning the whites with no pretreatment (I.e. Dirty socks). I hang dry the clothing and again, the smell fills my room 🙁 I do t thing the strong smell is worth it. I hope they bring in a perfume free version.

        • I found Purex Natural Elements really great for a much lighter scent & easy on the skin (my skin is sensitive to most fragrances) if that is a concern. Although the don’t carry it at Costco.
The Purex they do have at Costco (After the Rain) smells good and cleans really well. I didn’t find it overpowering when I was able to use it. It was one of my favourites. May be something to look into as well. It’s also cheaper!

    • Persil is rather quite new for a premium laundry detergent in the North American market, I believe they started carrying it in the US about a year or two ago at Walmart. It was meant to be a competitor to P&G’s Tide, as you all know hold a death grip as the #1 laundry detergent here in NA. However, Persil is not a new product itself, as it has been readily available in Europe (Henkel).

I find it personally to clean better than Tide and as a result of that you can utilize less detergent or forgo either pre-treatment products or stain boosters. The scent at least in my experience is better than Tide Original, be it powder, liquid, or HE versions. Tide liquid at least to my nose after washing clothes smells like vomit, though it doesn’t seem to be the case with the powder. You might want to see if your local warehouse has one load samples, or go to Costco, Loblaws, Walmart and open a bottle to give it a smell.
