Costco West Sale Items for May 7-13, 2018, 2018 for BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan
Hi Everyone,
Well, there are only 5 items again on the handout coupons this week. This week I saw even more great items (94 pictures) for you here in this blog! I wrote a little article over the weekend about how Costco charges taxes on its sale items and how the Executive Coupons might not be as good a deal as you might expect! I was able to spend quite a bit of money today at Costco. Along with my regular fruit and vegetable purchases, there were lots of snack items that don’t go on sale too often that I like to keep around the house. Apple Itunes Cards, Babybel Cheese, Apetina Feta Cheese, Sun Rype Apple Juice, Charmin Bathroom Tissue, Perrier, Stoned Wheat Thins, Ritz Crackers, Starbucks Via Instant Coffee, Alexia Sweet Potato Fries, Haagen Dazs Ice Cream Bars, Quaker Quick Oats, Aylmer Diced Tomatoes, Ocean’s Canned Punk Salmon, Heinz Vinegar, Thai Kitchen Sweet Red Chili Sauce, Pepperidge Farms, Cheddar Goldfish, Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn, Munchies, and Kinder Eggs are all on sale this week. Not bad for a week with only 5 handout coupons?
We had a chance to take advantage of the great weather this weekend and took an early Mother’s Day trip to the Abbotsford Tulip Festival this week. My daughter had a great time looking at all the different flowers!

Hi Pam, the pictures are loading fine on my Ipad usig Safari. Can you try download the Google Chrome App and using it to access the blog? It is probably a software issue.
I was reading some posts elsewhere recently and they all echoed the same caveats about buying certain things in bulk. Coffee and soap including laundry soap should be avoided at Costco unless you use a lot within a very short period of time. The reason is not only the shelf life but effectiveness deteriorates over a short period time.
A few things I’d like to comment about some of the sale items this week. The feta cheese goes bad very quickly after it’s opened. The Hagen Das ice cream bars are specifically made for Costco and their size has shrunk over time. We found the sweet potatoe fries soggy beyond belief unless you deep fry them.
As always and with the questionable pricing practices with executive coupons, do your homework before buying.

Rachel, you should check the expiry dates on products – especially on the toilet paper.
