Costco West Sale Items for May 21, 2019 – May 26, 2019 for BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan
My brother Tynan is travelling with his wife and two kids on an adventure through Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. I will be covering the weekly posts while he is away.
This week on sale: Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing, Scotties Facial Tissue, Charmin Paper Towel, Freybe Smoked Turkey Chicken Sausage, Gatorade, Tide Laundry Detergent Powder, Palmolive Liquid Dish Detergent, Bounce Fabric Softener Sheets, Perrier, Fruit By The Foot, and Riviera Organic Yogurt.
Deal of the week: 4 Piece Deep Seating Patio Set ($300 off).
If you are looking to buy a tablet, there is currently a special deal for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e 10.5 inch tablet. Until June 20/19 [or earlier if sold out], you buy the tablet for $547.99 [$2 cheaper than outside] and get the keyboard cover for free [$197.99 value; $2 more outside].
If you want one, you have to act fast. At South Edmonton, it sold out on May 16th. Surrey, May 22nd. Richmond, prior to May 22nd. As of May 17th, there’s stock at Kamloops. Don’t know about now. This tablet is not available online yet.
Samsung online, Best Buy and Staples have a similar deal until June 20/19 or until supply runs out. Instead of the keyboard cover, you get for free an AKG bluetooth headphone valued at $199.95.
The S5e came out in April/19. On sale sometime in May. It is the latest in the S series but is not the most powerful. It has most of the features of the S4 [available at Costco Online for $798.99 with no bonus. The CPU speed is a bit slower than the S4 and the battery is a bit less powerful. It doesn’t support the S-pen or HD Netflix. It is thinner and lighter than the S4. Display resolution, RAM, ROM, camera resolution and others are the same as S4.
The case of the tablet is metal. The cover is magnetic. You have to be careful where you put it. The manual has a warning if you have a pacemaker. The keyboard is bilingual. There is a discussion on the Costco forum saying the keyboard is useless. It isn’t. The default setting for the keyboard is English [US]. You just have to connect the keyboard and change the setting to French [Canada]. The special characters are placed on different keys and have a lot more than the English one.
If you buy one, you take a tablet order card and a keyboard cover card to the cashier. Make sure they give you a credit for the keyboard cover. Every cash register has a sign about the free cover but some cashiers may not give you a credit unless you ask.
Thanks for all you do. I got those yogurts and my dog had no idea it was yogurt so I actually got to eat it in peace. Then at the end he realized what it was and had to lick the little jar. He absolutely loves apples and yogurt. https://lauriemartin.epicure.com/en-ca/catalogue
Oh, by the way. On the Samsung S5e, there is no plug for your earbuds. Instead, you get a dongle to convert the USB Type-C to a 3mm plug.
Like the S4, you get 4 speakers along the edge. They are good. You don’t need earbuds or headphones if you are by yourself at home.

Looks like the Neat Freak Closet Organizer is sold out in Richmond. Has anyone seen at the Vancouver Downtown Costco?
