Hi it’s Natalie from the Costco food and product review fan blog  Costcuisine! If you like my reviews for Costco food products the greatest thing you can do is follow me on  Instagram or Facebook and also tell yours friends about my blog Costcuisine where I review tons of Costco food products each week!  In the last week I reviewed the Costco Brazi Bites, Costco Organika Collagen Protein Powder, Costco Formosa Dessert Mochi and Costco Jules Destrooper Butter Biscuits

We had our first snowfall of the season here so I decided it was fitting to review some soup that I got from Costco that is classically Canadian! Today I’m reviewing the Costco Tim Hortons Chicken Noodle Soup.

The regular cost of the Tim Hortons Chicken Noodle Soup is $11.99 for six 540ml cans but I was able to get it for three dollars off which is a pretty good deal! Cans of soup can definitely vary in price depending on whether it’s organic etc!

It doesn’t get more convenient than this! All you have to do is pull the top off and microwave or heat on the stovetop. Perfect for easy work lunches or lunch at home, we even use it for a quick dinner with grilled cheese sandwiches. The best before date is about two years from the date we purchased it.

One cup is 90 calories, two grams of fat, 11 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, two grams of sugar, six grams of protein and 620 mg of sodium. Low in calories and fat but also a little low in protein and high in sodium. The ingredients list is pretty straight forward.

If you’ve ever had Tim Hortons soup Chicken Noodle Soup before this has the same flavor as the soup you get in the restaurant however I found it had less vegetables and chicken in it and also was more watery than what I’ve had from the restaurant. The broth flavor is good, a little on the salty side and I love the mini shell noodles they use because they’re not overly soft or soggy. There’s a few bits of carrots, red peppers and peas in the soup but definitely not an abundance and I was left craving more! The main thing I noticed was I found there was definitely not enough chicken in the soup! I really only found a few scant pieces here and there. Next time I’m craving chicken noodle soup I think I’ll go for something a little heartier.

I probably won’t be buying this again because I think there’s better canned chicken noodle soup available but I’ll definitely finish up my case during the winter months! I think I’m looking for something a little heartier with more vegetables and chicken! Maybe I’ll have to make my own.
