It’s the holiday season so it’s time to review products like these Bouchard Mint Chocolate Thins!
I paid $15.99 Canadian for the 900-gram bag of mint chocolates which isn’t cheap not super expensive either. It’s a huge bag so you need to like the combination of mint and chocolate if you’re buying these.
The bag reseals and all the chocolates are individually wrapped so these are are perfect for sharing with friends or coworkers or tossing in a stocking! They smell very strongly of mint, when I open the bag my whole kitchen smells like mint chocolate. The best before date listed on the bag is a year and one month from when I purchased them.
Four mints have 190 calories, nine grams of fat, 26 grams of carbohydrates, two grams of fibre, 24 grams of sugar, two grams of protein and zero milligrams of sodium. I knew these would be high in sugar because they taste sugary but I couldn’t ever eat four in one go. One is more than enough for me. The ingredients list is really short and sweet, not healthy ingredients but ones you’d expect in a mint chocolate.
If you like After Eight, you’ll like these. They’re very similar but these ones might be a tad better. I like them because I think they have more of a chocolate flavor than After Eight are are maybe a smidge less minty. The chocolate is dark chocolate which pairs well with the mint. I’ve always found mint chocolates a bit strong so they’re not my favorite but I still find these enjoyable.

Hey Natalie It seems to me that, when you are reviewing candy, how they taste should be first. Hubby and I love the combination of mint with chocolate and these are the best we have ever tasted. I think that 900 grams for $15.99 CDN, at Costco, was a bargain! I found your review when I was desperately searching for a place to buy them since the quantity of mints in our 900 gram bag is getting lower and lower. You are correct that they are very minty. The chocolate is smooth and delicious (and I don’t even like dark chocolate). You are also correct that you don’t need many for a satisfying treat. (Two are okay but 3 are perfect)! I sincerely hope that Costco carries them again next Christmas, OR EVEN SOONER (hint, hint). I go down the candy aisle every visit now hoping to see them again. Lastly, your Christmas stocking sound like ours. Let’s hear it for 900 grams bags of everything!
