Chickpea puff snacks Hippeas review

Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco Kirkland Signature Salmon Milano with Basil Pesto Butter and the Costco Kirkland Signature Premium Apple Pie

If you like my reviews for Costco food products, the best thing is that you can follow me on Instagram or Facebook and tell your friends about my blog Costcuisine, where I review new Costco food products each week! You can also check out my YouTube channel, where I do video reviews!

I paid $8.99 Canadian for the 510-gram bag of puffs which isn’t bad for a large bag of gluten-free, vegan snacks.

I wish the bag resealed to help keep them fresh but I just use a clothespin to seal the bag. The best-before date is about nine months from when I purchased it. These are a great snack for anyone who’s following a vegan and gluten-free diet and wants something cheesy and crunchy!

There are 220 calories, eight grams of fat, 33 grams of carbohydrates, five grams of fibre, two grams of sugar, seven grams of protein and 370 milligrams of sodium in 34 puffs. I like that they’re made of chickpea flour and yellow pea flour to add a little protein boost.

I didn’t love these but they’re not bad for a gluten-free, dairy-free nacho puff! The flavor is a bit oddly sweet which I’m not a fan of but there’s a noticeable strong nacho flavor. The texture of the puffs is very light and crunchy, they’re so light that they dissolve in your mouth. I prefer the Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop White Cheddar Puffs.
