Griesson Entertaining Collective 24% Butter Pastry Sticks Review

Last week on the blog I reviewed the Costco The Keg Lobster Bisque, Good Foods Bacon Date Goat Cheese Dip and the Greenfield Natural Meat Co. Beef Pies.

I was browsing the Christmas section at Costco yesterday and came across these pastry sticks and wanted to try them so I bought a box.

The box weighs 375 grams and comes with three different kinds of pastry sticks. I paid $9.99 Canadian for the box which isn’t bad because there’s a lot of pastry sticks in the box!

There are three trays in the box and each tray has a different flavor, gouda, sea salt and sea salt & black pepper. Once the tray is open there’s no way to reseal the tray so I would transfer them to a Ziplock bag. The best before date is about four months from the date I bought them. These are great on their own but could be served on a cheese board, charcuterie board, with dips or spreads.

Four pastry sticks are about 140-150 calories and seven grams of fat. The ingredients list is short and simple for each kind which I really appreciate. I like how the sticks contain real butter and no artificial flavours.

These are so pleasant tasting and buttery! The name isn’t wrong, they absolutely taste like a buttery pastry in cracker form. They’re very flaky and fall apart when you take a bit. They’re rich and flavorful. The gouda is probably my favorite just because I love anything cheese flavored but the sea salt is also really nice. The sea salt & pepper has a strong pepper flavor that I don’t absolutely love but I don’t mind it. I think these would be a hit at a holiday party or on any charcuterie board.
