Hi Everyone!
I hope you all doing well! I just wanted to give you all the latest update on Senior Operating Hours. Way back in July, Costco Canada announced that it was ending Senior Operating Hours. This announcement was not unexpected as Costco Warehouses in the US made a similar announcement about a week earlier.
However, due to the increase in cases a couple of days after Costco Canada made the announcement they were ending Senior Operating Hours, Costco Warehouses in the US announced that they were re-implementing Senior Operating hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
On August 5, 2021, Costco Canada announced:
- Update: Effective August 24, 2021, Senior Operating Hours will change to Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
So, the good news is that Senior Operating Hours at Costco locations in Canada will continue, but I know that due to the reduction in days (from 7 days a week to 2 days a week), you may not be able to make it.

Happy Shopping!
Most of the signs in Abbotsford Costco on Saturday said they are canceling Seniors early days Aug 24. And some of the employees said that as well
I’m trying to figure out how ppl waited in line while the seniors were shopping when Costco would have been closed anyway???
Thank you to Costco for allowing seniors the opportunity to get their shopping done early. I’m not a senior.
because it normally opens at senior hour…
good, no more waiting in a line while the place is empty.
What age is classified as a senior?
Special Operating Hours are for Members Ages 60 or Older
So glad to hear it!
