Hi it’s Natalie from Costcuisine! If you like my reviews for Costco food products the greatest thing you can do is follow me on Instagram or Facebook and also tell yours friends about my blog Costcuisine where I review tons of Costco food products each week! Last week I posted a review for the Costco Kirkland Signature Turkey Jerky and the Costco milkadamia Macadamia Beverage!
I went to Costco this week and found a new bakery item that I picked up to try with dinner that night, both my husband and I really enjoyed it! The Bakestone Brothers Authentic Garlic Naan bread!
Cost
There’s 12 large (like really decent sized) naan breads in the bag and I paid $6.59 Canadian for the bag. I think the cost is quite reasonable! I pay about $4 or $5 dollars at the local grocery store for a pack of two naan breads that’s much smaller.
Convenience
Convenient for a quick side that works well with many meals. You can choose to heat the naan on the BBQ, in a skillet or in the oven. You could also just choose to slice them without heating them and have them with dip. I’ll definitely be using my naan to make a flatbread and also use it to dip in hummus! The best before date is about five days from the date we purchased the naan at Costco.
Nutrition
One naan is 330 calories, 10 grams of fat, 51 grams of carbohydrates, four grams of sugar, two grams of fibre, 450 mg of sodium and eight grams of protein. I have to say, not the healthiest option but once in a while is okay! One naan is also REALLY large!
Taste
I’ve had the Bakestone Brothers Naan before but I have to say I like this garlic naan so much more than the regular plain naan. This authentic garlic naan is soft, fluffy and very flavorful! The garlic flavor isn’t super strong but is just enough to really give it a nice buttery, garlicky flavor. Although this naan is garlic flavored the naan could be used in a variety of ways. Dipped in hummus or to make flatbread or pizza are just a few ideas.
I can think of a bunch of ways to use this naan up and will happily eat it up, it’s fresh tasting, soft and delicious!
Cost: 6/10
Convenience: 10/10

Which do you prefer garlic naan or plain?
I just love this garlic naan bread, I keep them frozen, take them out and put them in the toaster to warm them up, then smother it in butter – then put cheese on it . So delicious, have been trying to get more at Costco but no luck. Keep looking for now.-will call Bakestone. Thank you Natalie for this.
Thanks for the review. We really like the plain ones & put our own garlic & butter on, but this would be much easier!
I’m curious why you gave them 6/10 for cost & 8/10 for nutrition ~ your comments seem to indicate the opposite. I think they are really good value for what you get & they keep really well in the freezer as well.
