Costco Flyer & Costco Sale Items for July 27 – Aug 2, 2020, for BC, AB, SK, MB

Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is doing well! It is hot in my house and our air conditioner won’t get fixed until Friday. The kids are in daycare for 2 days and so we will be headed up to Squamish until Friday to escape from the heat.
I decided to visit Abbotsford today because I wanted to stop off at Sparkes Corn barn to pick up some Chilliwack Corn for a dollar a cob, then on my way home I stopped for blueberries at Jay’s Blueberry farm in Langley for some fresh, no-spray blueberries for $2.50 / lb. For me, summer always begins when I can eat some Chilliwack corn and have fresh blueberries with ice cream.

The last couple of weeks, there have been too many people accessing the blog on Tuesday morning that the site has crashed for a couple of hours. The extra visits along with the large number of photos has put a huge strain on the server. I’m skipping the photos of the flyer items since they have been featured for a couple of weeks in a row already. This should put less of a strain on the server!
We have been working hard on the new search feature and it is 99.9% complete, you should see some good changes to the photos in the next week. We have also begun work on the blog upgrade – which will modernize the blog and make things a little easier to navigate. Our developer has been great to work with and we have come up with a great vision for the new site.
There are lots of items on sale this week and I even tried to skip all the coupon items. Remember that the sale on Huggies Diapers and Pull Ups ends at the end of the week. I don’t think Charmin has been on sale for a while, but it is on sale this week. Halloween costumes have made their way in stores already – eek. Also, it looks like Costco has brought in some plus sized clothes for women which I don’t think I’ve seen before.
I’ve got to turn off the computer since it is just heating up the house. Stay cool everyone!

Where do they normally put the sanitizers and wipes? I know they go out of stock if you don’t get to the warehouse early in the morning, but because I haven’t seen them lately, I just want to make sure I am looking in the right place. Thank you!
YMMV, During the initial lockdown when the “Great Toilet Paper Run of 2020” was happening, some store would put the high demand items near the front where you first walk in, but now that supply is catching up to demand, “wipes” are back to their usual spot, near the aisle with cleaners/laundry soap/toilet paper.
Sanitizer and masks may be up front or near the pharmacy area.
Again, YMMV depending on your store. Phone ahead or ask the card checker.

Hi Joe, item with a price that ends in $.97 means that the items is a clearance item. Clearance items are usually offered at a deep discount compared to the regular price. I take pictures of all clearance items I see in store.
As an early subscriber , I seem to have a problem having by questions answered,is there a different section I should be signing into to get a reply to my general questions?

2) Is the Applecare+ provided by Costco the same as that provided by Apple store

Costco in started selling MacBooks this year, I have seen them in sale since they started selling them, but since it is a new item, I don’t know if there are any plans to disco in them in the future. AppleCare is the same as the one offered in the Apple Store

Maybe you should send out two emails every week. One to all the subscribers as soon as the new site is up and running on Monday, then a second one on Tuesdays to everyone else. That should help alleviate some of the stress off the server.
As an early subscriber, I’d like to know as soon as the new post is up so I can take advantage of my subscription. Getting to Costco a day earlier, knowing all of the items on sale that I want to purchase, than everyone else is worthwhile. But I don’t get emails until Tuesdays.

We went to Costco today. We really didn’t need to. Nothing of value for us. We were expecting some items listed on Costco’s website that were on sale online to be also on sale in-store but we were disappointed.
We picked up only a few things at Costco. Nothing else interested us. We shop every week. We bought oasted chicken for $8 and one US gallon jug of hand sanitizer for $27. The sanitizer only has 65% alcohol and usually you see over 70%. Depending on your source of information the minimum recommended can be anywhere from 60-70%.
Hopefully your air conditioner in Squamish is also working fine. I know it can get hot up there in the summer too.
I appreciate the pictures of all the sale items. I was wondering if you can explain why many items at regular price are featured. I know that prices ending in $.97 are clearance items but items such as the Ziplock containers, yeast, green beans and Hot Rods for example, appear to be at the same price that they usually are. Thanks.
