Costco Hawaii Special!!!

Hi Everyone!

Well we made it back from Hawaii a couple of days ago.  It was great to spend lots of time with all our family in one place.  We did find that the little one hated stepping on sand in her bare feet.  She acted like the sand was lava whenever we went on the beach so we ended up carrying here everywhere!  In the last couple days we got her sitting where the water meets the beach and playing with the sand.

We ended up going to Costco 3 times during our trip.  I guess that happens when you are traveling with 12 people.  I had lots of time to take pictures of some of the unique items that Costco in Honolulu sells!  I hope you like looking through the pictures as much as I like shopping there!  I especially enjoyed the $2.99 Hawaii Pineapples, the Poke, the fresh Hawaiian grown vegetables, the coffee and the macadamia nut products.  There are lots of Japanese foods as well at this Costco to reflect the strong Japanese influence!

DIAPERS AND WIPES SALE UPDATE:  For those of you keeping track – It seems like everything is one week later this year.

  1. Kirkland Formula (and Kirkland Baby Wipes) went on sale from February 27 – March 5.
  2. Huggies Pull-ups went on sale from February 27 – March 12.
  3. Huggies Diapers went on sale from March 6-12.

This is no means a guarantee of when things go on sale – it is just something to keep in mind when you are planning on purchasing your next set of diapers.

  1. Great work to educate us on your vacation time! Much appreciated. Not surprised that some items were not as low as expected in most US states, given the supply chain to the Islands. I go to Rarotonga in the Cook Islands every year and the shipping of staples from NZ adds costs. Not surprised to see the usual Maori sins like Spam and really, really, really dangerous sausage ingredients present – thought I’d see more heart attack items though. The fresh Ahi was a mouth watering and drooling photo especially the price. Notice the Alaskan King Crab price was off the charts? LoL….at least we are less expensive in one end of the sea-food charts – Dungeness crab….echh. Thanks again

  2. Aloha Hawaii!!! Loved our trip to Kauai a few years ago. We ate almost nothing but fish for 2 our weeks. Poke for lunch, fresh grilled Hawaiian fish for dinner. I almost grew gills. We shopped Costco for local fish and those delicious pineapples. Seriously craving another trip. Thanks for the memories!

  3. Sometimes our Costco has the Kirkland Mahi Mahi and the Kauai coffee, both of which are amazing. But boy do I wish they carried the King’s Hawaiian rolls and the Mauna Loa mac nuts!!!!!!!!!

  4. I thought my daughter was the only one in the world who hated the feeling of sand on her feet! She’s 15 now and when we were in Maui a few months ago, she still felt the same way! Hopefully yours will outgrow this “stage.” We, too, went to Costco three times during our stay, and it was just our family of 4! Did you have to step aside at the airport check-in to rearrange your suitcases due to being overweight (with costco goods) like we did!?!? Thx for all your work with your great blog. Look forward to it every week.

  5. That was a whole lot of alcohol available. :o) The only thing we have in our Saskatoon Costco’s is sparkling Apple Cider. :o( Always interesting seeing what the Costco’s around the world carry and I wish our Canadian stores had more variety. Thanks as always for your time to bring us the specials. You save us all steps and money. <3

  6. Thanks for sharing. The green local salsa in Kona is amazing. They often have Canadian lobster for cheaper than we pay. Don’t buy regular sweet potatoes, nearly 20$ US for a bag!

  7. Thanks for posting these. I had to laugh at you making 3 trips to Costco. Every time we’ve been to Costco with our family group, we always end up doing the same thing! Costco really offers the best prices though by far.

  8. We spend two months every year in Hawaii. As you note there are many unique products in Hawaii, and we always buy the Kirin beer, almost as good as Canadian beer, and not much more than pop!

  9. Love the macadamia nut stuff. Way more than than my visit 4 yrs ago!! I have to get myself there again..quick! Thanks for the pics.

  10. This was great!!!!! Love all the macadamia nut combinations! We need to bring this to Canada. And Fish Jerky????? I’d try it. Thanks for the pics.

  11. This is so cool! The Hawaiian Quileted seat covers make me laugh as I feel like that’s so typical for Hawaii . I feel like the meat and seafood prices are fairly comparable to what we have here in Sask but the Canadian Whiskey and Kirkland Vodka . No matter how many times we go to the states I am always shocked when I see the prices of their alcohol. There is so much food that I would love to try from this post but I would have to say that the Chocolate mushrooms are not one of them… no way!
