There were tons of items on sale this week and it took me a while to go through the store.  This week I went to the Burnaby location in Still Creek. If you have a toddler who uses Huggies Pull-Ups, this is your chance to stock up!  Huggies Natural Care Wipes, Ivory Snow Laundry Detergent and Christie Arrowroot Biscuits round out the baby items for the week. If you haven’t jumped on the summer smoothie bandwagon yet, the Vitamix is on sale.  At $100 off, this is a great deal for a high end blender!

A couple of Samsung TV’s come with a Costco Cash Card which seems like a new type of promotion.  Some Dyson Cord Free Vacuums are on sale right now.  This week chicken drumsticks, whole top sirloin and sirloin steaks are on sale in the meat department. Charmin hasn’t been on sale for a while and since my toddler seems to use half a roll whenever she steps into the bathroom, it was time to re-stock.  Pepsi and Coke products are on sale this week, as well as Gatorade this week.  Small San Pelligrino Bottles and Red Bull are on sale.

Butter was on sale at this Costco.  I don’t think I have seen butter go on sale before!  Maybe it was just at this location?  I don’t know  $2.99 for a stick of butter seems like a great deal – maybe it is time to freeze some for future baking?

Here is a picture of my little spaghetti monster!

That is it for me this week.

Happy Shopping!

  1. Thanks for shopping for all of us every week. It’s truly a god sent act of kindness. I check your blog every week. It’s marked on my calendar! For this week, looks like the photo related to Birdrock home collapsible boxes isn’t the right one. I think the price sticker refers to the fabric boxes. Just an FYI. Thank you 🙂

  2. Thanks for your blog, it’s a great help. I ‘m not too sure if I saw picures of bulk frozen items like unbaked cookies and croissants on your blog, if you in fact posted these pics, could you please provide me with the dates they were posted, I would really appreciate it.

  3. Has anybody seen Micellar water at Costco’s in Calgary? The NW had it for a short time and then it sadly disappeared!

  4. Thanks for your blog! I look forward to it every week.

Where did you buy that doggie gate? I’m looking for something similar. Is it hardware mounted? Does it have a way to open or do you step over?

  5. Hi and thanks for your diligence every week. Does anyone else in this large group agree with me that Costco sells products that use far too much plastic packaging? I think we could all be a strong collective voice in demanding considerable reduction of all this waste.

  6. Was thinking that I didn’t need anything until I saw this. Will be at Costco.

    Sweet, flexible Boots.

    Thanks.

    • Yes, my daughter and husband said they are great for their lunches. I priced out the value of making my own and it’s basically the same. So good value for prepackaged.

    • We found them to have a plastic chemical taste, It seemed so wasteful too. You also spend about 6 times more for it then buying oil and balsamic separately.

    • I do not notice any plastic flavor, but the flavor of the extra virgin olive oil is quite strong for those not used to it. The ingredients are very simple – just the vinegar and oil. If you price out the cost of quality balsamic vinegar along with an extra virgin olive oil I think you will find that the price is surprisingly similar to what it would be if you make your own dressing. The box contains 1.4 L of dressing total. Very convenient for individual salads or when you are on the go.

  7. Super grateful as always for your weekly posts! Love the continued pictures of Boots! And spaghetti….yum!!!

  8. Oh dang we bought the vitmix just about month ago!? Can I still take it back? We paid $600 on it. Let me know if this possible anyone?

    • Just bring your receipt to the return service counter and they will refund you the difference….done this many times no problems at all! Costco rocks with customer satisfaction!

      • I tried doing that for some solar lights that was couponed the week after I bought them and they wouldn’t do it with just the receipt. I had to go back home, and bring them in, return them, then repurchase. I said I preferred to buy the same ones since I knew they worked, and they hesitantly let me do that.

        • What you can also do is to re-buy the same product at the discount price, walk out, and walk back in to refund the older receipt with the higher price, since you already have the same product in your hands.

    • I’ve usually had no problem doing a price match (as long as the product is currently at the sale price and is in stock) within 30 days. That being said, you can always return the blender at the original price… then re-but the blender at the sale price!

  9. Thank you again for all your work. Great to see Boots again. A childs’ favourite meal is always spaghetti.

  10. Ahh thanks I’m with Boots stretch out on the yoga mat! Thanks for the post! I would have forgot many things in my list if it wasn’t for the visual.
