Costco Flyer & Costco Sale Items for Mar 23-29, 2020, for BC, AB, SK, MB

Hi Everyone,
Just so you know, I’ve been trying to weigh the benefits of continuing to post, lest I encourage unnecessary trips out to Costco. Personally, I’m at Costco twice a week to pick up fruit, vegetables and milk for the kids. My hope is that people aren’t making a trip for one specific sale item, but instead are going to Costco to stock up on groceries and perhaps picking up a sale item in which they are interested.
My goal with this site has always been to minimize people’s time in-store by showing the sales so they don’t have to walk the entire store looking for the sale items. My plan is to continue posting the sales for the future, unless things get substantially worse!
Today, I got into the Langley store at 8:22AM. The doors opened at 8:30AM and I was let into the store at 8:38AM. The store did not have any Lysol Wipes or Hand Sanitizer, but it seemed to have lots of stock of everything else!
This week Huggies Baby Wipes are on sale! Dempster’s English Muffins, Scoop Away Cat Litter, Contigo Water Bottles, Nicole Miller Leggings, Girls Speedo Swimsuits and Jelly Belly Jelly Beans,
Since gardening is a great solo activity, I’ve included some gardening items in the post as well as some yard games that might be fun for your family.
With so much negativity out there, If you haven’t seen the message from Chris Hadfield – you should give this a watch!
A quick reminder that if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, you should be self-isolating for 14 days. Each province has their own Health recommendations based on the provinces individual risk assessment and I would recommend that you follow the recommendations for your specific province. Your efforts have always been appreciated, more so now with the current state of things. As a disabled person who suffers greatly with painful mobility issues it is difficult to find someone to drive me to attend COSTCO to browse looking for sale items. Your blog has been, and continues to be, a Godsend. I do worry for you though as you risk contracting the dreaded virus however I’m certain you are being extremely cautious. Just please be ever so cautious. Aside to this, it impresses me greatly that COSTCO has taken such a leadership role in demonstrating to others just how important it is to maintain sufficient distance and just how much COSTCO cares about its customers. Again, THANK YOU for all that YOU do for so many others!
Hi Tynan, did you notice if baby wipes also had a limit per member? I actually HAVE a baby who just started solids so more messes from both ends >.< and actually would like to have a decent stock, but have heard people are hoarding these also in place of toilet paper. Perhaps Costco should require proof of having children for people buying things like wipes and formula! (I have read at least in the US people buying up formula as substitute coffee creamer…)

I purchased a membership in January to show my appreciation for your hard work. Your time is valuable and I know how hard it is to leave your family to go to work. Please don’t feel any obligation to expose yourself for extra trips during the week for the sake of your members. We value your safety over saving some money.

I tried the Still Creek Costco this (Tuesday ) morning at 8:40 — that was a mistake. The store was already full due to the senior shopping hour, and there was a long line of non-seniors wrapped around to the back of the store patiently waiting to be let in, one by one. I stood there for 5 minutes and the line did not move, so I left. I returned to the store just after 3pm. There was no line, and I walked right in. Although some sections were a tiny bit congested, the store was not nearly as busy as it normally was pre-covid. I picked up 97% of what was on my list —though I noticed there was no flour, whole wheat tortillas, frozen peas, or regular frozen veggies. There were no lineups at the checkouts and my experience overall was quite pleasant. Everyone is just focused on getting what they need and getting out. Based on my experience, I would avoid the mornings with the special shopping hour unless you are going specifically for the special shopping hour!
Your posts are great. They help me decide if I will make a trip to Costco or not. Costco is doing a great job of limiting the amount of people in the store. Thank you for your great posts

I think you are doing a community service – I can spend a lot less time in Costco, because I have a list of everything on sale and I can go straight to it rather than having to look around myself.
Also, I doubt people at this time are going just because of your posts to buy one thing. Maybe. But I have to say if you would stop posting because of that, it would be a bit hypocritical. You go twice a week. But we have a family of 6, and we make sure to buy enough on each trip so that we only have to go once every two weeks. You could go much less than twice a week. But it’s your decision of course.
And I am very thankful for your posts. But if you wanted to cut down to just the Tuesday morning post, I still would be thankful.

Please know that you shouldn’t stop posting the sale items. I’m from Winnipeg and went this morning during the special times for seniors. You do alot of the leg work for many people. Thank you very much.
I dont think its resposible to keep this blog going. Buy taking a long time in the store taking pictures of items you are causing poeple to wait outside for longer. You are also making poeple wait for you to finish taking a picture so they can get an item.
You are putting your family at risk going to costco as much as you do. Be safe
He may need more time to shop than others but what he is doing (taking all the pictures and posting them here) will make a large number of people’s trips so much shorter. He is taking a risk so others don’t have to. A bit more gratitude in a time like this would be appreciated by everyone.
At a time like this, I’m less concerned about savings as getting in and out of the store as quickly and easily as possible. Also trying to shop for the in-laws to minimize the number of trips that we all have to make.
The info that you shared about line-up/wait time is helpful. Other readers comments about 2-meter spacing, long lines, 120-people in store at once – all of these are helpful to try and plan out the most painless/productive trip possible.

Hey. Please continue the blog if you feel safe to do so. Put your family first in all this. Personally receiving this blog is still part of my weekly routine and keeps the world seeming to be normal. I like most people am restricting my trips out of the house for only essential items. I’m sure many people will still find the cost savings even more helpful than ever now though especially in time of uncertain job and income security. Thanks for your good work.

Something I would like to add is that on the one trip I have so far made to Costco (to buy for three families) their coordination was amazing. Lineup queues were made using overturned buggies, to give enough space to make sure everyone stays a good distance sideways, and people had a buggy between them and the person in front and behind and kept even more distance, but could still have a conversation as they waited. When I got to the front of the line I spoke to an employee who said they were only letting 120 people into my warehouse at one time. Inside the warehouse they have staff with laminated nated signs reminding people to keep their distance. 120 people in a giant Costco is not very many, and on the odd time that I did meet someone in an aisle everyone used their common sense and stayed far apart from each other. Every third check out was open, making sure that their staff have distance, you have to pack your own bags, and at the exit you had to hold up your receipt tight so they didn’t have to handle it. Kudos to Costco for doing everything right. (Oh as well, if you are only picking u a prescription go to the main door. They escort small groups in and out. (I should mention this was at the Port Coquitlam warehouse.)

Same here in Regina a lot of what you post is not available here when our new store was built i was hoping for new and mare items in stock that didn’t happen
I went to Costco this morning arriving just after 7 am for the 8 am Senior hour and OMG there was hardly any parking and I have a disabled pass and trouble walking too much and the line up to get in was way to long for me to wait in line for. So I left and went to Superstore across the street and the parking lot was full so went to Save On Foods down the street and parking right by the door not crowded at all and got the things I needed for my family I would have like to have gotten a few things that are kirkland products that I love and use almost daily but I will make do without it. So I was in and out in less than 25 minutes. Love your posts and thank you for doing this, I do order some stuff on line it is a bit more expensive but no shipping and I do not have to spend time and gas money to go and get it. But wish that I could get more things delivered from Costco.

I’m good for hopefully 7 more days and then you will be guiding me to where to get what I need, in and out quickly
Like others have said, not only do your posts help direct people to the sales items they need more efficiently it also gives us the option of saying not to bother going as none of the sales items are of interest and we don’t feel we are missing out by skipping a week or two from going to Costco.
I really enjoy your posts. It helps cut down the time in the store when I know exactly what is on sale and go directly to that area. Thanks for doing this as long as you can.

FYI. Crema coffee discount was cancelled on Monday. No reasonable explanation today.

Just want to ask if anyone knows if Costco still carries Curry sauce jars ? I haven’t seen any in Edmonton,Ab or surrounding in months.
Also Costco use to carry meat Samosas but now days I only see veggie samosas. Did they discontinue meat samosas?

I always shop on Tuesday before going to work for a week on Wednesday, so I find your posts helpful to get in and out of the store quickly!

Agreed! people will run out of money soon enough- and all this panic buying will end – common sense must prevail!!
