Costco Flyer & Costco Sale Items for Mar 30 – Apr 5, 2020, for BC, AB, SK, MB

Location: Langley, BC Costco Warehouse

Hi Everyone,

Lots of items on sale this week!  Today, I thought I would get an early start at Costco and showed up at the Langley location at 7:56AM.  Even though the store’s posted hours shows an opening time of 9:00AM, the store was already open and letting people in as I arrived.  I was inside the store at 8:06AM and while they did not have hand sanitizer, they had 6-packs of Lysol Wipes and some Sanitizer spray (not for use with children or pets).  There was sanitizer spray when I left at 9:22AM, but no Lysol Wipes.

There was lots of toilet paper and paper towels and flour.  There was no yeast or white rice.

Most people were respecting each other’s space and it was a pleasant shopping trip!

  1. So sad. We couldn’t go to Costco either. Line-ups just too horrible. We wasted our gas. I know, it’s cheaper now. But half of the pump price is in taxes or about $.50.

Looking at the pics, many items were only on sale for a few days only. I didn’t notice anything we needed that continued to next week.

We ended up going to Save On, one person limit. No children allowed to accompany their parent.

  2. i ventured out of isolation to the richmond costco yesterday for groceries and my birthday cake. it was around dinner time and the parking lot wasn’t packed as usual. i haven’t been to costco in a while. my daughter and i saw a line up where people were physical distancing. i thought it didn’t look too bad so we got out to wait in line. we soon realized the line continued further than i thought. actually it was zigzagging in the middle of the parking lot. upon closer inspection, the line was much longer but what was disturbing was while you might be 1-2 metres apart from the person in front of you, while you zigzagged in the space, you were passing by and standing next to people only a few feet apart! we decided we were out of there! we didn’t go in. do you know if costco will be issuing an extension on memberships?

  3. I saw somewhere on Facebook that Costco now has pull apart cinnamon buns. Do you know if these are available in Canada?

  4. Have anyone been to the Richmond Costco this week? do they have there garden centre open. I need some gardening time this weekend.

  5. We had Palmolive dishwashing liquid 5litre 7.69 and windex 5litre plus the 959 ml spray bottle 10.99 on sale at Sherwood Park. Alberta

  6. First of all, I absolutely love this website, but I have a problem. I am not receiving the email. When I try to subscribe again it will not allow me to do so, because it states that I am already subscribed.

  7. Thanks so much for continuing with this service. If you were to stop, I, like many others would continue to go to Costco (to buy both essential and non-essentials). We just wouldn’t be able to take advantage of as many deals. We all have a responsibility to “do our part,” but our part should be dictated by the PHO, not by a subjective personal decision on how to limit others. What’s Costco’s policy on price matching for items that go on sale? I bought that mattress two weeks ago and it’s on sale this week.

  8. Any idea how often their mattresses go on sale? I wanted to upgrade my son to a big boy bed and the $150 mattress is a great deal! But with everything going on I won’t make it so just curious if you’ve seen them on sale often? =) Thanks!

  9. @Sharon Bradshaw
Actually no. Only seniors and some locations won’t allow the physically disabled I was told despite the contrary as written on Costco’s website. The wording is similar on Costco USA and Canada website. The US site is using physical impairment while Costco Canada is using physical disability.

  10. Love what you do, but it seems like the time his come to hit pause for a few months for your and your readers safety. The vast majority of these items are not essentials and not worth the risk of dealing with the lines and crowds. This page is inspiring people to ignore public health advice.

    • Hi James, thanks for your feedback! I have tried to consider the pros and cons of continuing to post, lest I encourage unnecessary trips out to Costco.

Personally, I’m at Costco twice a week to pick up fruit, vegetables and milk for the kids. My hope is that people aren’t making a trip for one specific sale item, but instead are going to Costco to stock up on groceries and perhaps picking up a sale item in which they are interested.

Determining what is “essential” is extremely subjective and so I try to err on the side of taking pictures of all sales and clearance items. I don’t want to be feeding my two children perogies every day (even though they would happily eat them)

My goal with this site has always been to minimize people’s time in-store by showing the sales so they don’t have to walk the entire store looking for the sale items. My plan is to continue posting the sales for the future, unless things get substantially worse!

    • People are going to visit Costco whether this is posted or not. By displaying what’s on sale, you might decide not to go.

    • How is going to Costco once a week to buy foodstuffs any different than going to any other grocer? Where are these lines and crowds you refer to?

  11. Curious to know if you might appear to be over 60? From my understanding senior/disabled/immunocompromised hours are 8-9. Meaning you were able to get in during those hours. I am not so from my understanding would not be allowed in before 9am. Am looking to buy a few of the high demand items and this is the reason no ask
Thanks!!Very much appreciate what you do for us!

    • The early morning entry at 8am for seniors, etc. is only on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The pictures were taken on Monday morning. I shopped at the Costco in Richmond on Monday and the doors were opened by the time I got there at 8 am.

  12. If you are not in the over 60 age group, or have a physical disability, you should not be shopping at Costco during the special operating hours.

Special Operating Hours for Members Ages 60 or Older

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., Costco will temporarily implement special operating hours for members who are 60 and older or who have a physical disability. The pharmacy will also be open during this hour; however the food court will maintain its normal operating schedule.

    • Langley has been opening early every day now. I took my pictures on Monday morning at Langley and when I arrived the doors were open and they were letting everybody in. I’m not sure if this happens at every store, but Langley has been opening earlier and earlier over the past two weeks.

  13. A big thank you for previewing Costco weekly sales. I am a member of your website and find it very convenient if I want to head out early Tues as we did today with it being seniors hour from 8-9.
Kudos to Costco Langford staff and all the other Costco’s. It was our first time out in 10 days and had not been for supplies for just about 3 weeks. Everything was as organized as anyone could hope for in these trying times. We were so impressed with staff and customers alike.
Make some noise at 7pm to show your appreciation for these essential workers that are battling to make us all safe. Hugs to all.

  14. Thank you so much for your incredible effort on it!! I really appreciate.
and I hope everything it’s ok with you and your family 🙂

  15. Posted hours are 9:00 opening because the early hour is for seniors.
Here in Calgary you can’t get in early unless you’re over 60

  16. Thanks for the post. The prices of all the shoes are great, too bad the picture doesn’t show what they look like.

  17. Hi! I just wanna asked, is it only one particular branch that has the wipes or we can also get them on others? Thanks!

  18. Thank you so much for doing this for all of us!
I always wait for you and then I go shopping!
You save me money every time we shop!

  19. nothing beats scrolling through food items to come across and ad depicting a glob of ear wax being pulled out of an ear lol

    • They do carry rubbing alcohol but don’t know if they’re in stock. Normally they’re in the pharmacy near the rubber gloves.

    • The rubbing alcohol in Victoria was on its own pallet just inside the entrance last time I went (a couple weeks back)

  20. Wow I haven’t seen the wipes at Costco for a few months! May be worth the trip… thanks for the tip about them letting people in early. I waited for 45 minutes outside in the rain last week even though I arrived before 9 am!!

  21. Yesterday at Surrey Costco they had the barbecue chickens $4 off along with $4 off the kale salad. The Asian and blue cheese salads were $2 off.

  22. Where are the sanitizer and Lysol wipes located? My guess is that the sanitizer is by the cosmetics near the pharmacy and the Lysol wipes is by the cleaning supplies at the back. Am I right?
