Today, I showed up at 10:00AM at the Willingdon Costco and there was only about 3 minutes long!  There was sanitizer spray, bleach and Softsoap.  They were also handing out masks at the entrance for those of you who didn’t bring one.  I have a couple of requests to sort out from my developer for the new site so I’m going to work on those right now.  We’ve got some great progress so far!

I wanted to give everyone an update on the redesign of the blog since there has been quite a lot of progress!  We’ve hired our developer & designer and have started work on the project.  We are starting work on the new product search functionality, so you will be able to look up historical pricing and sales.  After that we will be working on the redesign of the blog.  Our goal is to get everything implemented in three months.  I’m excited that this project is finally moving ahead and to see some increased functionality and navigability in the new format.

That being said, if you are looking to help me help support this new website upgrade, I have re-opened the “FOUNDERS” discount for the Early Access to the blog.  The Early Access gives you access to the Monday posts on Monday afternoon instead of Tuesday Morning at a cost of $19.97 for one year (52 weeks).  You will also have the option of signing up for a new customizable mailing list so you can choose to the updates you want.  If you decide to purchase an Early Access Membership and use the discount code “FOUNDERS” before 2020-08-31, you will get $10 off your annual membership AND have that rate grandfathered forever!

Sign up for Early Access at the following link:  https://cocowest.ca/register/

Once you have signed up, to get the early pictures, just use your username and password at the following login: http://cocowest.ca/cocologin  When you are signed in, you will be able to see the pictures as soon as they are published on Monday!

If you don’t sign up for Early Access, no problem!  The blog is still free and will be available to everyone on Tuesday Morning at 5:00AM Pacific time.

  1. It’s hard to make out the sale end dates on some of the signs, especially with my ageing eyes. Is the Onward blu-ray on sale until June 30th? I was at the downtown Vancouver Costco last week, and they were sold out. Today, neither the Star Wars nor Onward are on sale. Can anyone confirm the date for me? Shouldn’t all warehouses have the same prices on things like this?
I will be able to head out to the Willingdon warehouse on Friday if I need to.
    Thanks so much!

    • Not all warehouses have the same sales. I am from Sask and I find often that things like meat, video games, gift cards, etc don’t have the same sales as posted on the website.

  2. Are you saying you’re grandfathered for life at the $20 **annual** membership fee to access the content early?

  3. Shucks. The cabbage patch kids aren’t on sale here in Edmonton. I scanned it through and still full price. But thank you for always posting. Very helpful!!!

  4. I have asked this question a few times before. Does the Apple Macbook Pro 16″ laptop ever go on sale? Is anyone able to provide me with this info, I would really appreciate it .
    Thank you.

  5. If I sign up for early access before 2020-08-31, with the FOUNDERS discount code is it $10 now and grandfathered in at $10 or at $19.95 going forward? Need a little extra clarity there but if it were $10 I could swing that. Either way I appreciate all the hard work you do on our behalf!’

  6. Just wondering what the yearly fee will be going towards after the website is done? It seems like A LOT of people signed up at $20/$30 per year so I’m just curious so that I can decide whether I’ll pay or not

    • Hi Barbara! The development will continue as long as there are paying members. After the redesign, we plan on developing a mobile app – we are thinking about product sale notifications and the ability to make a grocery list from the sale items!

      • So will this app be an extra cost to members on top of the $20 fee or will the app be available to anyone?
        Thank you for the information!

  7. Thank you. All you hard-work is most appreciated. After a few of the listings, your posting is not working at all on my P.C.
I was so pleased to see you respond,Evelyn Tan. I was so used to your prompt and courteous answers to Cocowest, when it had stopped, I was concerned for your well-being.

  8. Lol, I keep asking this every update but what the heck here goes again. Has anyone noticed if they have the 42mm Series 3 Apple Watch in GPS & LTE? The price they have on the 38mm in the picture above is almost $100 cheaper than anywhere else which for Apple product is really something.
    Thanks for your hard work!
