Good Luck Everyone!

It has been a pretty busy week for us here.  Sorry the post is a bit late.  I promised my daughter I would get here some local strawberries while I was in the Lower Mainland, so I went for the opening of strawberry U-Pick.  It was raining pretty hard, but since it was the first day of U-Pick I was able to get a basket in about 20 minutes 🙂

I also noticed that French Fries and Poutine is now available at the Food Court.  Chicken Strips and Chicken Wings are still unavailable, but hopefully they will be adding these back on the menu soon?

That’s all I have for now.  I hope you all have a great week!

I wanted to give everyone an update on the redesign of the blog since there has been quite a lot of progress!  We’ve hired our developer & designer and have started work on the project.  We are starting work on the new product search functionality, so you will be able to look up historical pricing and sales.  After that we will be working on the redesign of the blog.  Our goal is to get everything implemented in three months.  I’m excited that this project is finally moving ahead and to see some increased functionality and navigability in the new format.

That being said, if you are looking to help me help support this new website upgrade, I have re-opened the “FOUNDERS” discount for the Early Access to the blog.  The Early Access gives you access to the Monday posts on Monday afternoon instead of Tuesday Morning at a cost of $19.97 for one year (52 weeks).  You will also have the option of signing up for a new customizable mailing list so you can choose to the updates you want.  If you decide to purchase an Early Access Membership and use the discount code “FOUNDERS” before 2020-08-31, you will get $10 off your annual membership AND have that rate grandfathered forever!

  1. Has anyone noticed the picture loads are not happening seamlessly. Is this just a perk of not being a paying member of the site?

  2. Has anyone in the Vancouver area seen any of the Adirondack chairs at their store? Would love to find some blue ones but I think it a a long shot. TIA!

  3. I went to Kamloops store and the Moishe’s coleslaw wasn’t there.. when will it be there ? Such a dissapointment..

  4. Has anyone seen the LIFETIME Adventure Tower Swing Set at either Victoria (Langford), Nanaimo, Abottsford, or Courtney Costco? They just out in our store and desperately trying to source another one. Thanks!

  5. thank you so much for the Moishe’s coleslaw this is by far the so very best I am so excited and the dairy free ice cream so appreciated

  6. Kind of annoying how I have to waste 20 minutes on this website just waiting for the pictures to load properly – I will probably go to Costco and spend 20 minutes in store next time. The whole purpose of this page was convenience but with this issue, that one purpose is long gone.

    • You can view the website while you are standing in line for 20 minutes waiting to get into Costco.

  7. It’s BBQ season. Maybe not with a large gathering, but it’s still BBQ season.
Does Costco sell Smokie style Sausages ? Brand, weight, price if you have that information.

  8. Thank you for all your hard work, this blog makes my shopping at Costco a breeze. I look forward to it every week. Thank You Again.

  9. Using android phone. If I scroll down and click a image not loading, then go back on the page, it will load the next 6 pic or so, the i click on the next blank puc and go back on the page again, the next 6 out will show.. thanks foe ur work

  10. No. But it’s 4.6 out of 5 stars reviews on costco.com
For some reason it is not showing up on costco.ca

  11. Thank you again for all your hard work, every thing you put in to it is well appreciated. Be very proud of yourself. For a daddy to go out and pick strawberries in the rain says it all. Your family is very important and that is wonderful. Take care and stay save your family needs you. Ps so do we thank you again. Have yourself a awesome week

  12. Picture loading is still laggy in Chrome on Android. I disabled Javascript inChrome, which someone had mentioned, but it does not fix it, though it might help a little.

  13. Saw your pic of the strawberries. I was also out picking. They were gorgeous,
Thanks for the Costco sales post

  14. Does anyone have experience with the Pro Shade canopy? Is it double the price better than like say the Ozark Trail canopy ($100) and similar that Walmart and other places sell?

  15. I use the Vivaldi browser and have issues as well. However I’ve found if the products are not updating as I scroll down, if I click on the white space beside the items they update immediately.

  16. I am a Samsung user so am one of the many people having problems accessing your site. I was wondering if you are still trying to resolve the issues? I sure miss the quick access that I used to have. I have noticed that the advertisements show up without a problem. Lol. Thank you for what you do. Hope the issues are resolved soon.

    • Hi Brenda, We are currently working on the problem, but it seems to be a problem with the latest Chrome Update. The problem is only with problems with websites that show lots of pictures and it is not only affecting my site. The problems has stumped a couple of developers already.

      • I notice that if I scroll down to the blank space under a working image and then scroll back slowly to a image that works it manages to load the blank images. I just work my way down the page that way. Using Chrome on mobile

        • Another thing that helps if you’re browisng from chrome on desktop is right clicking on the blank spaces where the pictures should be. This causes the set of pictures in the viewing area to show.

          • I found a workaround on PC. Leaving my mouse cursor over the centre, the images, then scroll with either mouse wheel or PageDown key, the images are all loaded when scrolling. It may be a cursor focus or mouse over event that triggers it…

      • I notice on my LG Android phone with chrome browser, as well as my Windows 10 computer with Chrome that I have problems when I view your site without ad block on. I also have about 40 ads for each post I view which is excessive and the ads override the pictures and force their way on screen. For this reason, I have been using adblock and don’t have issues. I think it’s coming from the ads. Stopping the ads completely fixes the problem on both my devices. Oh yeah, and my Samsung tablet with chrome as well! So 3 devices all work with blocked ads, and don’t work well with ads enabled.

    • I’m using a Samsung tablet and just tried the Samsung Internet instead of Chrome the website loads no problem.

  17. You are amazing dad also helping lots people to shop efficiently!!
Thank you so much your hard work!
    I really appreciated it !!!
I wish my husband like you lol

  18. Anyone know if the Kirkland cold brew is good? I like the starbucks cold brew, not sure about Kirkland. Thanks for all the hard work you do, I have no idea how you do it on a weekly basis…multiple times!!! Stay safe everyone
