Since I like to support Canadian companies and have heard some friends talk about the benefits of a Keto diet, I thought I’d pick up a box. These bars are Vegan, have only 1-2 g of sugar, contain 9g of plant protein and contains MCT oil and sunflower seed protein. They tasted good and I found they make a really sustaining mid-day snack – I didn’t miss the junky stuff that’s in my usual grab-and-go granola bar.

Sorry for the late post today.  It’s been a long week over here and I had to wait until the kids have gone to bed to start work.  Bikes seem to be in really high demand.  As I was walking though the bike section, people were waiting for the bikes to be assembled so they could take the bikes home!  If you are looking for a bike, you might have to ask when they are coming in (check with the supervisor at the computer behind the checkouts) and come in that morning.  I also noticed that Jones Soda has made an appearance at my local Costco with a 12-pack of 4 different flavours.  YUM!

The Ottlights were on clearance and a good deal if you are looking for a bedside table lamp.  It even has a USB cord outlet to plug in your phone at night.  Peanut Butter Cookies and Ozery Morning Blueberry rounds were items that I did not see on Monday.

Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. Just a tip, I keep the old wipes containers, put a roll of bounty paper towels in and pour in a little Lysol or other cleaner in. Save’s me searching for products that just don’t seem to be around. I do the same with Windex for quick window wipes.

    • Sarah,
Fantastic idea keeping the container. I use the paper towels and my Lysol in a spray bottle as a less expensive alternative to the wipes. Your idea is more convenient, thank you for sharing.
      Stay safe out there!!!
      Toni

    • I was in Abbotsford on Tuesday night and saw people with some in their buggies. I went looking for them but they were already sold out.
I think you just have to be there at the right time.

    • Can’t find Lysol wipes in Edmonton either. They said they get them about once a week but couldn’t tell me the days. Defaulting to bleach solution now. If you use a squeeze bottle that is opaque the solution lasts a lot longer and didn’t degrade.

    • I also haven’t seen Lysol wipes in our warehouse for months (Langford, Victoria). So I tried ordering online and even if it said “In stock”, it said not available in your postal code region. I phoned the warehouse and the lady told me that it comes into different warehouses at different times and to keep trying to order. I checked everyday for 2 weeks (retired) and finally got lucky. Just received them at my door. So give it a try.

    • Hi,
I was able to order a package of Lysol wipes online. I read a post many weeks ago on this site that another person successfully ordered online and I started looking for them at that time. We are not currently going into the store, so online was the only way to purchase. It took me looking daily and repeatedly but I was finally able to get some. If they come available in your postal code area, you have to purchase them almost immediately, as they sell out *fast!*. I saw them online weeks ago but by the time I hit ‘Checkout” , they were sold out. The next time I saw them available (about 8 days ago) I purchased immediately and received them a few days ago. Good luck! I know how valuable it is to be able to buy them now days and if it were not for the other person on this site providing information, I would not have known to try (repeatedly) online.

  2. Thanks for the photo postings. Keep up the good work.

Question: If someone replies to my comment here, will it be forwarded to me automatically, so I don’t have to manually check for a reply??? Someone reply and I’ll post the answer.

      • The answer is NO to “If someone replies to my comment here, will it be forwarded to me automatically”. I had to manually check the website, and do the long scroll to the end of the almost infinitely long page (though weekend updates are much shorter).
        🙂
