Costco Executive Coupons: May 1-14, 2020

Hi Everyone!

The Costco Executive Coupons have arrived, although I didn’t seem to get mine this month.  I received the Costco Connection Magazine, but I didn’t see any executive coupons.  There were a bunch of price tags that showed discounts for executive members so I asked for one at the Customer Service Desk and they provided me with one.  When I was checking out, all the cashiers have a copy of the coupon so I don’t think you have to provide them with a physical coupon anymore (like in the past)

There are a lot of exclusive Kirkland sales in these executive coupons.  I have slowly upgraded all my sheets to Kirkland Signature Cotton Sheets.  Kirkland Signature Dog food, Kirkland Signature Frozen Chicken Breast Fillets, Kirkland Signature Frozen Lean Beef Patties, Kirkland Signature Organic Chicken Broth,  Kirkland Signature Frozen Cheese Pizza, Kirkland Signature Sliced Meat Variety Pack, Kirkland Signature Goat Cheese Log, Kirkland Signature 3% Yogourt and Kirkland Signature Hazelnut Spread are all items I have purchased before and usually don’t go on sale.

One of the bonuses of the executive Costco membership is that you get mailed extra coupons!  Granted that if you follow this blog, you will be able to stock up on most of these items anyways, but I’m sure there are a few people who could use an extra sale.  I find that I always spend enough at Costco to justify an executive membership – although I may go to Costco more than most of you.  PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU WILL NEED THE ORIGINAL MAILED COUPONS TO REDEEM THESE SALE ITEMS.  THESE SALE ITEMS ARE ONLY VALID FOR EXECUTIVE MEMBERS

Here are the Costco Executive Coupons that get mailed out to Executive Members Only.  The coupons come in the same package as the Costco Connection Magazine.  If for some reason you are an executive member, but are not receiving the magazine and the coupons, stop by the membership desk.  Your membership may have the wrong address on file or you may need to opt-in for the mailing list.  You can also change them on Costco.ca or on the Costco App under My Account – Preferences.

Alternatively, you may be able to pick up a set of executive coupons at the membership desk – sometimes they have extras if you ask nicely.

The executive membership is twice the price of the basic membership ($60 vs. $120).

One last thing to note is that these executive coupon deals are not as good as the regular instant rebates.  This set of coupons, many of these items will go on sale on a pretty regular basis,  if you can wait to stock up, you will save a bit of money.  These executive coupons charge tax on the original amount, whereas regular instant rebates charge tax on the price after the sale price has been deducted.  I wrote a blog post about this with pictures of my receipt to show the difference.  https://cocowest.ca/2018/05/does-costco-canada-charge-tax-on-the-full-price-before-the-instant-savings/

  1. Same, I’ve complaint to the Costco customer service twice about the missing couples and both times they claimed they’ve fixed the issue…Still nothing…
Not a big deal coz they will give you the discount at the counter anyway if you remember to mention it. Just annoying coz I never know unless I by chance catch it in the right time. I’ve missed it and didn’t realized it until after I’m out of there…Again, just annoying…

Thanks Cocowest for the blog, now I’ll just check it out here before I go everytime!!
    You are awesome! 🙂

    Stay safe and stay healthy!!

  2. best to go to the membership desk before you start shopping and get the coupon book… then take the coupons out of the book that you want to use… the cashiers don’t have the items memorized that are in the coupon book.

the cashier will need the coupon bar code to scan it with the item

  3. Not sure if it was already posted but this was on the Costco website –

Only available at your local Costco warehouse.
Due to the current challenges we are facing, the Executive coupon booklet was not mailed with all copies of the May/June Costco Connection magazine.
However, items are signed in warehouses for easy identification. Simply mention to your cashier that you’re an Executive Member.

  4. Many times in the past, very kind well experienced cashier would mention about discount coupons and scan it (Once a lady went to customer service to get it just for 1 coupon) even though I didn’t have paper coupons or aware of discounts.

Today, I had to remind the cashier, but his answer was “u must tell me when I scan the item! Now which coupon do u want to use?” So I named few products but he couldn’t find them in the coupon list, so he only use 1 coupon. ….. When I told a lady at the receipt check showing this web page picture, she suggested me to go back product pick up desk. I was able to get the other coupon value returned in cash.

Some employees are not helpful but others are very nice.
You just need to be aware of sales and demand the best!!

  5. I hope they make this a permanent change…. we should not need to carry paper coupons and hand them we should just get the discounts for being members when we shop with our executive card.

  6. Wow I am so frustrated right now I was at Costco on Friday and spent $600 and they didn’t even bother to mention the coupons now I have to go back and get adjustments up to $30. And like mentioned above I got the magazine but no coupons.

  7. I spoke with a staff member at the membership desk and she said due to Covid 19 they want to reduce the contamination risk to their employees and did not mail out the coupons this time. They are at all the tills to be used when you check out or at the membership desk. Thai was at the Nisku location on Saturday.

  8. I received my Costco magazine but no executive coupons either. Nothing much there anyways from what I see…but It’s always a great Shopping experience at Costco.
How long this epidemic will last or get under control…who knows. Just from what I see…it will be a hell of a long time before numbers go down!!! People’s attitudes have to change! Nobody wears a mask in other stores…and social distancing is a joke to many businesses and the idiots in line! Come on people… they talk about flattening the curve…but we haven’t even begun to teach the peak yet! Till people smarten up and take this seriously it will not happen! It’s sad that you hear people brag about the money they are getting for staying home etc…with my wife being a front line worker…which puts us in the middle of it all…it is very sad that she goes to work and dedicates her safety to others and the rest reap the benefits! It’s tiring seeing all the red tape involved and people just ignoring it all. Well….That’s my rant and input…lol. Please have an awesome day and as the now stale Saying goes…please stay safe everyone.

  9. I recently received the Costco magazine unwrapped with no coupons. Thought this curious.
It has always come before wrapped in cello wrap with coupons and other info flyers inside.

  10. Question: What is your take in having an executive membership vs regular one?
Thanks for your postings! Really appreciated!

    • If you shop there enough in a year you get a good rebate cheque at the end of the year! I have it and it’s worth it for that.

    • Hubby was talked into the Executive membership twice. Even though I shop there weekly (speaking pre virus) we did not even get the $60 difference back. And unless I can get more than a $60 return, it is not worth it.

      • I read somewhere that if you don’t get at least $60 back after the first year of the executive membership, they will refund you and you go back to a regular membership. It would be worth talking to customer service.

Our rebate cheque is always over $200, so it’s worth it for some of us.

  11. I was just wondering are you not mailing the executive flyers to your members anymore? I have not received them in over a year. Looked forward to receiving them. Thank you.

    • Contact Costco. This site is provided by a Costco customer, not the actual business. I didn’t receive the coupons in the mail but I was able to pick some up at the membership desk.

    • The owner of this site does not send these out, it would be Costco if they were going to.
The person who runs cocowest.ca spoke all about this at the top of this blog article.. you just have to read before scrolling down to the pictures.

    • Hi Lynn, this is a website kindly put together by a Costco member of the deals, for the convenience of other members. You would need to contact Costco the company

    • These guys are not employed by Costco so I would assume you’d have to call youR local warehouse and ask that question.

    • when I didn’t receive my coupons last year and inquired why, the costumer service representative told me she had known people not receive it if they didn’t use any of the coupon in the past year.
