Hi Everyone,

I excited to announce that this week’s post has been sponsored by Gillette who have launched the new Gillette SkinGuard Razors for Sensitive Skin available now at Costco.ca and at Costco Warehouses Nationwide!  If you have sensitive skin like me, you will appreciate the new Skinguard on these razors that are designed to reduce irritation when shaving!  If you haven’t had a chance to read my review of these razors, check it out here:  https://cocowest.ca/2020/06/review-gillette-skinguard-razors-for-sensitive-skin/

Gillette SkinGuard Razors for Sensitive Skin

I hope everyone is having a great week!  Over here in the Lower Mainland, I think we are all waiting for the nice weather to show up.  It has been a pretty sad spring over here with lots of rain and cloud!  For those of you looking for an Apple Watch, they are on sale this week.  Also if you need to do some flooring, Golden Select Engineered WPC Vinyl Planks (Charcoal Oak) are on sale right now.  I haven’t seen flooring go on sale in a while.

I did notice that last year, Huggies Pull-Up Diapers & Huggies Wipes were on sale (June 24-30, 2019).  I’m hoping these are on sale again because my son went up a size and we are almost out!

There are some great sales going on this week including the Tamari Almonds, Children’s Aerius,  Kodiak Cakes, Ecos Laundry Detergent, Cheese Strings, Kirkland Organic Roasted Seaweed, Mr Freeze Pops, Mentos & Frisk Mints!

I’ve got to get back to watching the kids.  I hope you all have a great week!

I wanted to give everyone an update on the redesign of the blog since there has been quite a lot of progress!  We’ve hired our developer & designer and have started work on the project.  We are starting work on the new product search functionality, so you will be able to look up historical pricing and sales.  After that we will be working on the redesign of the blog.  Our goal is to get everything implemented in three months.  I’m excited that this project is finally moving ahead and to see some increased functionality and navigability in the new format.

  1. Thank you for the non-stop posts here. This is serious, monotonous work. Every reader here should take out a subscription, whether they want early access or not.

  2. Anyone else found that the Port Coquitlam location doesn’t have the same items on sale as this blog? Sent someone to get the Bean Salad and Chicken Fajita Bowls that were listed last week and they weren’t on sale there..

    • Hi Sheila, while there are occasional differences between the stores, I have found that if there are differences in BC, it is usually due to staff not posting the correct sale sign. In these cases, the sale price is automatically adjusted when checking out. I would recommend bring the item to the cash register to see if it registers as the sale price. You can always cancel the transaction right at the cashier if it is not on sale (or have your friend do this).

      • Yep, this is what happened to me with two items last week. They were listed here as on sale, but at the store I went to, the signage did not indicate a sale.

I took both items with me when I checked out and had them check the price and both came up at the regular price.

However, in the past I have had the sale price show up at the register for other items.

  3. Having used up my Palmolive liquid dish detergent I bought a new one only to find that the formula had changed. It’s nothing but green water now. Doesn’t suds nearly as well and you end up using way more because it’s like water. I don’t even want to use it up so I’ll be returning it.

  4. Has anyone purchased one of those Titan soft coolers? The backpack, large or smaller one? I’m interested in one, was hoping to pick up one of the smaller 24 can ones yesterday but they were sold out at the downtown location. They did have the backpack but prefer the other model.

    Thanks

  5. thank you so much for all your hard work !! We all really appreciate it! Just a little request can you make sure that when you are showing the writing on an item that it is the English side showing in the picture. I know that some have English and French side by side , but some only show French on one side and English on the other. for example the TFAL iron
    thank you.

    • I believe this is likely a larger request than what you believe it to be. Most Costcos discourage photos being taken of their merchandise in store. In order to provide us with these updates, the photographer must snap photos as quickly and unobtrusively as possible in order to avoid detection by staff. Taking time to “stage” the item on sale takes up valuable time and increases the risks of being caught.

If you feel the need to closer inspect the item in question, a quick google search should give you the information in your desired language.

  6. Are you going to be getting more smoked beef? They’re wrapped in individual packets and they just like corned beef.

  7. Thanks for sharing these specials. I have some mobility issues and since standing in lines these days has become the norm, I have not been shopping much. However, when you post something that I really really “need”, then I mask up and head over to our Costco here on Vancouver Island. Thanks again for your continued hard work.

    Also, cute pup!

  8. Thanks for the post. I find that if I quickly juggle my screen up and down on my Google Pixel screen, the pictures will load. I had to do that a few times to get all the pictures to load but it worked!! Technology can be funny sometimes!

  9. Good Day!!
I’m wondering where I could find this lamp?
I called the stores in AB and none of the Costco’s has it.
    (3 light led floor lamp 2000274 )

    • If you are able to find this lamp, you will love it… I bought it in BC a few months ago when it was $99.99 . I am really happy with it and it is good and sturdy too.. Maybe try ordering online?

  10. Thank you for your post! FYI. I am using Chrome on my old Nexus 7 tablet. I open your post through Facebook and have no issues with pictures loading. I do have really good internet though.

  11. I load the page in Samsung Internet and everything loads just fine. I just go directly to the blog web address.

    • Hi Kimberly, I took a look at my pictures and it looks like the wrong price tag was attached to the Children’s serious. I don’t have the price in my originals. Sorry about that!

  12. Thanks as always for the new week’s deals! I currently use an android tablet for viewing the line up, and have experienced a delay in downloads. By accident, I found that by tapping to the right of the missing picture in the white background , it downloads the next few automatically until I need to do it again. Be careful not to tap where the picture would be or you will be directed to the opened version of the picture and not the listing. Hope this helps!

  13. What a cute pup Boots is!! Looks like he is ready to do his work out? Or just getting in the way so he gets petted and you cant do your work out lol Thanks for the posts, they are always helpful!

  14. Boots! Oh my goodness! You’re almost as scruffy as I am. My bangs are as bad as yours buddy!
Thank you for the post. I’m glad my husband didn’t go on the weekend. There was a bunch of stuff on my list that wasn’t on sale last week that’s on this week. I know they will do price adjustments but he wouldn’t stand in line to do it.

    • Hi Daniel, I’ve run it past a few developers and it looks like it is a Chrome issue with my page due to the large number of pictures. I’ll keep trying though.

      • Small trick to load the pics on Android devices. Just scroll upward a little and then downward and repeat. The pics should load just fine.

      • I normally use Chrome. I discovered that if I move my cursor up a bit above the stalled pictures and click or double click the pictures start appearing again. I have to repeat this a few times until all the pictures have appeared.

        • I cannot use Chrome for this web page…..it takes over 30 minutes to get through with all the stalls of the pictures. I use Firefox and it works very well. I almost quit using this page due to the painfully slow scrolling.

          • For Chrome on the desktop, when you scroll with your mouse wheel, make sure the mouse cursor is positioned on the area where the images are located. If you scroll with the cursor outside that area, then the images won’t load.

    • “Oh! What a Tangled Web We Weave” – Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832).
Who knew that he was talking about the complexities of websites ? 🙂

    • In the meantime, there are lots of browsers available that aren’t chrome, try one out. I get the same issue on chrome on the Mac so I use safari for this page.
